Polls which feature voting, but final elimination by the number of comments. It's the most effective ( most times) in preventing the rigging that goes on here.

Lists and Tallying up the Points - This is when we assign points based on ranking. For example, 1st place is 1 points, 2nd place is 2 points, etc, and whichever princess scores the least amount of points is fanpop's favorite. The flaw I see with this is that --what if Belle appears in first place 75% of the time, but in last place 25%, where as what if Mulan consistently appears in 3rd place? Mulan will get the 1st place score, but that doesn't make her fanpop's most liked princess, that makes her fanpop's least disliked princess.

List and seeing who appears in each place most often- Probably the most reliable, the danger is if Ariel is in 1st place equal amount of times than she is in 10th place.

Countdowns with voted each princess off one at a time from least to most favorite - Again, same problem as before, you get to the LEAST DISLIKED princess

Countdown by voting favorite to least - probably the most reliable. But chances of rigging? Idk

I think some combination of lists and countdown polls. we can also do one where we do a combo and compare the results.

The countdown where we voting from favorite to least is actually misleading, and that is opposite with the definition of countdown it self. Countdown is the act of counting backwards to zero, as this site said: link

"List and tallying up the points" and "List and seeing who appears in each place most often" won't be have fair result imho. We would only got predictable result and popular princesses higher than other, least populer one is always lower.

My use of countdown was still correct. In this case, you can argue that favorite to least is also a countdown , because you're going from MOST to LEAST--aka highest number of likes to lowest number of likes so yes, it is still a countdown. -_-
Least to Most is still a countdown because you're tallying the number of votes. I used the term correctly in both cases.

In terms of accuracy, I feel like you would need some sort of combo between all of these. Also, yeah comments definitely need to be considered to counter the rigging.

some variation on this, possibly adding up each dp's points, averaging them out, and then ranking them that way? idk. anything but polls though - people cheat and the results end up being totally meaningless.

Polls = instant rigging . Because some people do not have life or hobby XD This one is more fair imo.
