It depends. If they have some good ideas for the plot and characters then fine, go ahead. But if the changes are done just to feed the pseudo-progressive agenda without any regard for the quality of the movie then no.

Some changes are good, but if everything is changed ( as is happening with the remake of Mulan), then no.

I like it if there's changes that will help the story be better or new or will actually have importance.

For Maleficent I wouldn't have minded it being about her point of view but the insane character changes making them unlikeable so Maleficent could be in a better light and her relationship with Stefan never being brought up again was so incredibly unnecessary

The Cinderella remake wasn't too bad; Lady Tremaine's reason for disliking Cinderella was brought up better instead of through narration like the original, we see the Prince more and get to know him better, the Grand Duke suddenly being a villain was an interesting change, and there were some changes that actually had me worried for Cinderella. The problem is CInderella's character. She's smiling all the time and not standing up for herself like original Cinderella did, she had the chance to leave but had a touching reason which was then thrown out the window at the end of the movie

Beauty and the Beast was almost shot for shot and word for word exactly the same as the original. Belle suddenly being an inventor is never brought up again and the magical book that can send people where they want to go was so incredibly pointless I keep forgetting that it was a thing

I don't mind changes as long as the movie still has a good story to tell and well written characters

I prefer if it's different, what's the point if it's the exact same movie?(like BATB or Lion King) That's why I loved Cinderella and Maleficent. I'd love Aladdin too, the bad casting and indian culture bothers me very very much but I'll give it a try,since I adore Jas's new song ^^

I prefer mostly the same - but with some changes. I don't mind Maleficent but it would sit with me better if I could picture it fitting into the same universe as Sleeping Beauty - unfortunately that doesn't work because true love's kiss was different. Dumbo was okay but again a bit too different. I prefer remakes like Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella with more minor changes.

Different, but not too different. It's nice if the remake is its own thing, although that doesn't always mean it's good (*ahem* Maleficent).
