I was shocked when I made a pick question about how everyone felt about Kocoum's death, and most people said they weren't sad, and a couple even said "well, he was a douche, so I'm glad"
In what way was Kocoum a douche? He never treated Pocahontas badly at all. All he did was ask for her hand in marraige, and Pocahontas said he was too serious. Other than that, he was a good guy who stuck up for his friends and was brave. He tried to kill John Smith, yes, but it was with good intentions.

Anyway, sorry for that rant. To me, Gaston isn't that big of a douche either! He's conceited, yes, but other than that he's smart, polite, and relatively nice to Belle. Obviously he's a douche, and I wouldn't date him in a million years (doing him is another matter), but idk, he's not THAT bad for Belle to get stuck with.

On the other hand, Jafar is a pervy raging old lunatic, and Jasmine doesn't deserve that. But if they were married, it'd be funny to see Jasmine punt his ass around the palace.

I just get sick thinking about it

Pocahontas and Kocoum would be bad... Gaston and Belle would be really bad... but Jafar and Jasmine would be bad beyond words.

I completely agree with princesslullaby about Kocoum, he didn't deserve to die. He was trying to protect Pocahontas, he just misunderstood. Just because someone's too serious doesn't mean they deserve to die.

Obviously he's a douche, and I wouldn't date him in a million years (doing him is another matter)....were we seperated at birth? Sometimes you say and word something the EXACT same way I would!! I don't want to see ANYONE stuck in a marriage with someone they dont love, but I think Kocoum would have loved Pocahontas and been good to her. Gaston would be a little worse, and expect Belle to do everything for him...but Jafar... EEK...can you imagine having to sleep with him? YIKES.

Only because I sympathize for her the most.

At least Belle and Gaston, and Pocahontas and Kocoum are about same age. But Jafar is so much older than Jasmine :s And he's creepy..

There's a deleted scene of Pocahontas where Kocoum wasn't so serious and he couldn't wait for his wedding with her. He made a house for them and sang about protecting her and keeping her safe. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy. I never disliked Kocoum in the movie. I just didn't care about him. Though that scene made me see him differently.

Anyways, yeah, getting married to Jafar would be nasty.

because Kocuom never did anything mean to make me dislike him, and Belle didn't HAVE to marry Gaston. he hounded her to convince her, but she never would've married him in a million years.
