Here is my other proposal for fanpop.com.
What do anda think about it?

anda can go to a users profil and check their activity there. But i don't believe it's just me who think it's overbearing to go to activity and then rate atau whatever you'll do.
I think it would be a "search-fan-pane" at every spot where anda can cari for a peminat and see everything that the peminat has post at the spot your on.
Like this:
1. Go to a spot
2. cari for the user anda want to
3. Then anda can pick between icons, photos, fanart, videos, artikel-artikel ect. (It's like when anda "Searh Fanpop")
4. when anda press at the category anda wanna see it will shows just like it does ordinary at spots.
(You can rate the videos and links and press them to watch the video/use the link.
The articles anda can rate and anda can read the beginig and them press read more.
anda see the images as thumbnails and anda can press at them to see them bigger and to rate them
ect ect)

Tell me it anda don't understand atau if what i wrote doesn't make any sense

Cammie I think I understand what you have in mind. Are you saying you would like to easily find a "particular" user in a spot so as to rate their content?

BrookeYourself yes, but i have so hard to put my thoughts in english words. it's so different when you have to say everything in english but i think i'm doing pretty good (a) i don't mean just to rate, but it's a big part of it couse i've notice it's so many people whos rateing friends stuffs. but i think it's hard to find users images and videos ect, couse you have to turn page after page if it's uploaded for a long time ago. and it's good for yourself too couse you can see all your stuffs and how they are rated and how many veiws there is. And there is no other way to see everything collected and more detailed at the same time i know it's pretty much the same as go to the users activity but at the same time it's not

BrookeYourself yes i know, but it's not the same. at least i want to see my things more deataled than you can see at your activity, i don't know what you guys want. but i like my idea and i hope you understand it the way i mean :]

amazondebs i think i understand what you mean, it's not the language that is the problem your english is amazing and honestly didn't know it wasn't your first language i don't think i would be comfortable with people being able to see everything i do from my fave spots so i don't think i'm going to be very supportive of this idea but that doesn't make it a bad one

amazondebs yes english is my first language although you'll find people on here like aholic and germany123 (who's first language isn't english) actually write it better than me lol *hangs head in shame* have you checked out the suggestions forum? is has load of ideas on like this from other fans that you might want to have your say on :)

amazondebs sure it's here http://www.fanpop.com/spots/fanpop/forum/post/1097 although it's miles and miles long so you probably will only want to read more recent pages although if you do look back you will see there are suggestions like the "add to my updates" button that have been added :)

skeloth I see what you mean... Although, I don't think I'd ever use it, and if I ever wanted to, I would filter someone's activity by spot, and then open all the stuff I was interested in.

Ratings: We Can Do So Much Better

Ratings. They sound good in theory. What better way to know how good content is? Unfortunately, the reality is far, far different:

Trolls - We've all seen them. They rate things a one, just because they can.

Non-Raters - There is a LOT of awesome content on Fanpop that goes unrated.

Friends and Enemies - Friends get high ratings. Enemies get low ratings. It happens.

Rating Unfairly - People dish out 1-star ratings to imej and video containing characters/pairings they don't support.

Rating the Uploading Process - Content gets rated based on HOW it was uploaded instead of the quality of the actual...

This section of my guide for Fanpop users details the ratings system and was last edited on 26 May 2008.

As with any web site, Fanpop is only as good as its content. Some content - what I think of as the soul of the site - is generated sejak users in the fora and in komen-komen on the rest of the content and cannot be rated. But the rest of the content - the body of the site - has a ratings system. The whole principle of the ratings system is a democratic one: if enough people vote, the really qualified items rise to the top.
