Serena van der Woodsen unexpectedly returns to New York from her mysterious absence to a boarding school in Connecticut. She is initially unwelcome sejak her best friend Blair Waldorf, who was perplexed sejak the lack of contact during Serena's absence, and has assumed the position as Queen bee of the Constance Billard junior class. Having discovered that her longtime boyfriend Nate Archibald slept with Serena a tahun before, Blair is unwilling to continue their friendship.
