With Harry Potter's firstborn son on the way, literally, Hailey sits him down to have a littlle chat. Could Harry finally be getting the family he always longed for? atau will their past troubles crowd out the possibility of a future?))
The Muggle hospital certainly wasn't the most encouraging environment for afather-to-be. Harry just would not sit still. At the moment, he was pacing the corridor like a caged lion while Hailey watched. The simile perfectly fit her twin brother. He certainly had a temper. Unfortunately, she'd been on the recieving end of that temper. She pushed her oval glasses faarther up her nose.
"Harry, stop pacing. You're treading a rut in the carpet. Trust me, they'd come out here if anything happened."
Harry stopped his pacing. "What if…?" he asked, letting the rest of the soalan trail off into a thought.
"You're not too young. We've been over this for nine months now." Hailey had the odd habit of guessing what Harry was thinking. Sometimes it bugged him, but other times, she knew he saw it as a blessing. It helped him avoid awkward stammers when dealing with a touchy subject…like family.
"Complications," he muttered, not wanting to speak his full mind.
"That's why we caame here. These Muggles know exactly what they're doing. Both of them are going to be fine." He touched his scar. "No, no one will recognize anda here. Just stop your worrying. Be happy. This is what you've always wanted. A family."
"Not quite like this." He flopped down onto thhe bench beside Hailey. "For me, waanting a family was wanting Mum and Dad back, not having to be the Chosen One."
"Don't anda remember the Mirror of Erised? We both want the same thing. And Harry, you're not just the Chosen One. You'res so much more. You're a brother, a friend, a husband--" Hailey's words were cut off sejak Ron and Hermione's combined yell.
"IT'S A BOY!"
"--and now a father. Come on, let's go meet your son."
Not ten minit later, the Potter twins stood on one side of Ginny's hospital bed, looking at the bundle of blue blankets in Harry's arms.
Hailey cooed gently, watching the baby grab hold of her finger. She noticed a few wisps of dark hair.
"He looks just like you," she berkata softly.
"But he has your eyes." The baby boy looked up at his father and aunt with bright hazel eyes. "Dad's eyes."
"You should name him James."
