Am I the only one who was deeply disappointed in the films characterization of Ginny Weasley?

I absolutely Cinta book Ginny (GoF, HBP, DH). JK makes her a bright, fierce person but in the films, she doesn't seem to be anything like that. She's still reserved like she was in the first few films (which she was supposed to be) but they haven't made much of an effort to tunjuk the change in Ginny as she matures.This (pardon my french) really damn well pisses me off.

They make an effort to tunjuk the change in Neville and I think they done a really good job with him but I just don't see how they couldn't have put in the same amount of effort with Ginny.

I also Cinta the Ginny/Harry pairing in the book, and the whole build up, especially in Half Blood Prince. I was looking ke hadapan to seeing what the film were going to do with them and quite frankly, I was not happy. They start off with Harry arranging a tarikh with some girl in the cafe who is completely irrelevant to the whole HP story which I found confusing. They make Harry seem like he's interested in other girls besides Ginny but in the book he only ever seems interested in Ginny.

In the HBP, Ginny is calm and confident around Harry whereas in the film, she's quiet and doesn't really do a lot of talking. Just holding hands with Harry and tying his shoe laces. Almost Berlakon like a mother..

But then the film script writers did the unspeakable. They changed their fucking first kiss. The book first kiss, is when Gryffindor wins the Quidditch Cup and Ginny runs towards Harry when he steps into the common room and they Ciuman in front of everyone. But in the film, however, they do a shitty, weird, almost awkward version in the Room of Requirement where she makes him close his eyes then kisses him then buggers off. What? NO. Why on earth would they do that?

I wonder if it would be better if Ginny wasn't played sejak Bonnie Wright but a lebih extrovert person but I don't think this is the case. Bonnie Wright is supposed to be an actress, she should be able to act like a completely different person to who she is. I get the feeling she didn't get enough encouragement during the filming atau told to come out her shell lebih during the films, which should have happened.

It is not only what the films have changed about Harry and Ginny, there are hundreds of other things too. So, yeah, if anda ever see a remake of the Harry Potter series where the script is exactly the same as the book story line, then yeah, that'll be me who's the script writer. Hi.

Jenna4093 I agree. I love Ginny's character in the books, but in the movie, her character isn't portrayed right, and it annoys me, really.

rere14 I love this article because I'm kinda disappointed too, in the book ginny so full of life, laugh a lot, a free spirit that's why harry failing for her, I blame steve K (the screenwriter) for this, he love hermione/harry that's why he to put harry/ginny on background, you can see the different H/G in order of the phoenix and H/G in HBP, he wasn't the screenwriter of OOTP and you can see a glimpse how great H/G with just the way they look at each other in that movie. H/G relationship are one of my biggest disappointed on the movies, he can't even put harry watch ginny dot on Maurader map but he can put H/Hr dance together?! Forever bitter because of that, but still H/G are my OTP and ginny are my fav character on HP beside luna and neville, nothing can change that

linhousepotter I LOVE Ginny in the books. She is great! I don' t know why they changed her so much in the movies. It's not Bonnie's fault (I like her). She did the best she could with what was given to her.

Pensieve_Seeker Why on earth would they have Harry and Ginny kiss in the Room of Requirement? Well, if they did it the way it was in the book, there'd have to be quite a few preceding scenes for it to make any sense. Besides, she got to say "You never know what you'll find up here", which could be considered as foreshadowing to him finding the Ravenclaw diadem there.

Harry Potter & Twilight are not comparable

What is it with all of the comparison typed content all over the internet between Twilight and Harry Potter?

Well I suppose they can be compared sejak their levels of success--but not really--harry potter is on another level.

And as a story, it's like comparing a coloring book to a good novel. Apples and oranges people.

In Harry Potter JK Rowling creates a whole other universe for readers to lose themselves in. Stephanie Meyer on the other hand has just slapped together a barely readable teenage fantasy.

RL. Stines Goosebumps buku are lebih engagnig that Twilight for Pete's sake.

I have watched one of the Twilight Filem and didn't find it enjoyable at all. What is so enjoyable about watching an ungrateful teenage protagonist that does little lebih than moan and complain? Nothing.

I admire the concept of magic from my very childhood. When i was 10 years old i came across the first book of harry potter. and soon i fell in Cinta with the leading character harry. it was not until the age of 12 that i watched the movie. both the book and the movie has applied magic on me and the most exciting psrt of the series is the connection between harry and voldemort. these mind blowing adventurous series has won my hati, tengah-tengah unlike any other book.
