Harry Potter Article: Why I don't like Ginny Weasley

the only weasley I don't like

So I know I'm gonna receive a lot of hatred for this, but I actually dislike Ginny Weasley. I don't hate her, the series are full of characters I cannot relate to atau just don't like for some particular reason, for example Cho is one of them.

When I tell someone I dislike Ginny, they start to answer me like this:

"Go read the books!"

This definitely was worse for me. I disliked book Ginny more, and I got it the moment I finished Membaca the Chamber Of Secrets. She didn't even do anything in the book. It was all Harry saving her and she trembling all the book.

But more, she is wildly overrated in my opinion. When I tell :

"Umm.. She is a Mary Sue?"

People quickly get mad at me. Really, really mad. Most of them start to defend her and tell all about Hermione.

"Hermione never failed even one subject. Harry is the perfect warrior for Voldemort. Now Ginny is Mary Sue for you, huh?"

Hermione never failed because she studied, like anda can. Harry was the chosen one and the main character. However, Ginny suddenly turned "good" in Qudditch and didn't even have a journey on sitting on the broom.

I didn't get a piece of her character when she suddenly turned everyone's favorite.

For me, Ginny is a player and sucks at relationship with boys. She first dates Dean Thomas, and literally gives up on him because feels something for Harry. Ewwww. She starts her Cinta journey too soon, without making any friendship bridges. What grosses me out the most, she dates boys older than her.

Not even mentioning her relationship with Harry. Since Harry loves Ginny, I had to give up on hating the relationship but I didn't really like it, though. After Harry saved Ginny, and after Ginny played with Dean, she suddenly kisses Harry and Harry doesn't refuse. I don't find any "clue" to their love. Its suspicious for me, did she give a Cinta potion to Harry? There are many artikel-artikel debunking the theory, and I read them all carefully. The most common logic is that Harry wasn't too obsessed with Ginny. I'd like to remind that there are stages of the Cinta potion, it could be really strong, atau not strong at all. And most probably, its the not strong version of the potion. Harry just feels a slight Cinta for Ginny.

After all these reasons, I am still sad about her with Harry because I think Hermione and Harry had a great friendship bridge that could eventually lead to lovers. Anyway, she got Ron, that's not that bad.

Genevievebarbie Actually, there's nothing wrong with being with boys older than you. In fact, most Indian parents try to find someone at least a few months older to make sure that by that time he has a stable job, is respectful and decent, and can take care of their daughter. My own parent's example : My father is 5 years older than my mother.

elsafan1010 ^Yeah its completely ok. My father is 6 years older than my mother, but they started dating as adults while Ginny dates from the very first books.

elsafan1010 Omg guys just remembered how rude Ginny was in the sixth book! It definitely holds a reason too. She’s young but has no respect to elder, also teased Luna who I love a lot.

LowriLorenza89 ^I can't remember Ginny teasing Luna a lot. It's more the opposite - she's one of the few students who befriends Luna and sticks up for her. It's a bit of an issue judging Ginny simply at the end of COS. She's eleven years old at the time, remember, and she's just been through a really traumatic experience. She was possessed, forced to attack people and nearly died herself! She develops throughout the series. You say that Ginny learned to be good at Quidditch too quickly, without any experience or practice. Well, she did have practice - she admits that she's been borrowing her older brothers' brooms in secret for years. Harry didn't know or see this, so we as readers/viewers don't know either until she says so. You also say that Hermione is good academically/never fails at school because she studies, but I also think that's a natural academic talent. I'm surprised that you say that the idea of a girl dating an older boy (even just a year older?) grosses you out. I thought that was pretty normal, especially among teenagers. Girls at that age have matured more than boys.

elsafan1010 Oops, that meant for Fleur. She called Fleur a “cow” as I remember but I’m not so sure. Yeah I was so worried about Ginny when I learned that Voldemort tricked her, but it just didn’t make it up to all the other reasons. About Qudditch, I just protected Hermione over there, how can she be a mary sue while ginny is also perfect at something? A girl dating and older boy is ok for me, my dad and mom did the same. However, don’t you think an eleven year old should be more focused on her studies and friends instead of chasing boys? She dated all the elder boys and played on them, just to impress Harry. She was young.

elsafan1010 Plus, the fact that Ginny borrowed the broom from her brother to train all these years seems like JKR tryna make Ginny way more liked but it did bother me so much I ended up disliking her even more.

LowriLorenza89 Yeah, Ginny was a bit of a bitch towards Cho - but so was Molly, and Hermione and pretty much every female character. It made me wonder if her being part Veela was having some kind of instinctive rivalry effect on all nearby females, kind of the opposite of the attractive effect Veelas have on males. I can't remember Ginny chasing after boys at 11. She had a crush on Harry and couldn't hide it, but she wasn't chasing. She didn't date Michael Corner until her third year - 13 years old - and he was her first boyfriend. I don't think that those fans were calling Hermione a Mary Sue there, more like pointing out that Hermione excels at something which I'd say counts more than just being good at a sport. Hermione's know-it-all moments and occasional narrow mindedness blocks her from being a Mary Sue.

I admire the concept of magic from my very childhood. When i was 10 years old i came across the first book of harry potter. and soon i fell in Cinta with the leading character harry. it was not until the age of 12 that i watched the movie. both the book and the movie has applied magic on me and the most exciting psrt of the series is the connection between harry and voldemort. these mind blowing adventurous series has won my hati, tengah-tengah unlike any other book. I'll make this short but why did the Filem do this. In the buku Padma Patil was a ravenclaw while in the Filem she was gryfindor.Now just like how Harry's eyes are green in the book and blue in the movie (yes I know Dan cant wear the contacts) but it is , in my opinion ANNOYING! Whats with all these stuff ups?

I mean in deathly hallows part one Harry was himself not barry. I mean WTF? Also in Prisoner of Azkaban in the quidditch match, cedric caught the snitch as Harry fell. But in the Filem he got struck sejak lightning.

I don't consider the Harry Potter Wiki as reliable. Because according to its canon policy: if Rowling hasn't specifically denied something about a film in the buku atau in other words, whatever the films say is to be first and foremost promoted in the artikel-artikel as a canon fact instead of the books' facts.

In my logic it should be the other way around. That the books' canon should be promoted first and foremost - exactly becasuse the buku are the tier 1 canon and the Filem only the tier 2 atau 3 even - and because we can not be sure what about the films are from Rowling's hints and what are just...

How I got into the Harry Potter Series

I first thought Harry Potter was really stupid. Then one hari it was on Disney Channel and there was nothing else to watch so I watched Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. At the end of the movie I was shocked. I LOVED IT!!! I got the whole series of buku and got 1-5 the Filem for Christmas. Now I read each book 3 times and probably know every single word for the Filem 1-6. I am so crazy for harry potter that i did this. There was a harry potter and the half blood prince movie menunjukkan time at 3:00 a.m.!!!!!! Me and my cousin (18 yrs. old counsin) stayed up till 2:45 in the morning and went to go see harry potter 6 at 3 in the morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
