A couple hours had passed and I heard my parents talking. I sat up once I heard them coming closer to my door. I was Lost in thought how Michael was being so nice to me and every time I thought about him, my hati, tengah-tengah would race. My mom opened my door and came in with my dad.
"Hey Rebecca." My mom said.
I didn't respond. I was still Lost in thought. My mom and dad noticed and my dad snapped his fingers in front of my face. I instantly snapped out of my thoughts.
"Huh? Oh, hei mom and dad." I said, a little embarrassed. "Sorry. I was just Lost in thought about the rehearsals."
"It's alright, sweetie. Speaking of which, how was the rehearsal on hari one?" My dad asked.
I told them all about it. Plus, they showed excitement when I berkata I got to meet and talk with Michael one-on-one during lunch. Well, met Michael before rehearsals and talked with him during lunch break. I didn't want to mention the private lunch I had with him atau my late night walk with him. After I told them about the rehearsals, they left the room and I laid back down on my bed. I looked at my phone and saw that it was about 9pm. Since I had rehearsals tomorrow, I thought it was best if I just went to sleep now. So in about 5 minutes, I fell asleep.
The Following Morning
I woke up to my 7:30am alarm clock...my cat. She licked my face to be sure I was fully awake. I petted her head and she purred.
"Thanks, fluffy Muffin. Now go. Shoo." I told her.
She jumped off my katil and went out of my room. I got up and stretched. I went over to my closet and searched through my clothes. Once I found what I'd wear, I changed into them. Then I went into my bathroom to do my hair and make-up while humming Smooth Criminal.
In The Living Room
Alex and Eric were playing Monopoly. Soon, they heard the doorbell ringing. Eric got up and went to answer it. When he opened the door, his eyes went wide.
"Oh holy crud..." he muttered.
Michael chuckled a little. "May I come in?" He asked.
Eric moved out of the way and let Michael in the house. Alex saw him and stood up.
"My guess is you're here for our baby sister?" Alex asked.
"Your guess is correct. Is she ready?"
"I'm not sure. Let me go check."
Then Alex went upstairs and to my room and knocked.
"Yes?" I responded.
"Someone's here for you. Are anda ready?"
"Yeah. Hold on."
Alex went back downstairs and looked at Michael. "She's ready. She'll be out in a minute."
Michael nodded and Alex and Eric went back to playing Monopoly. While waiting, Michael got a chance to look around. He noticed a picture on the dinding and it looked like a family reunion picture. He went closer and got a better look.
I came down the stairs and saw Michael looking at the family photo. I snuck up behind him quietly.
"When was this?" He muttered.
"That was the family hari picture from 1975 that my grandmother's friend took." I told him.
He jumped when he heard my voice and turned around. He held his chest and giggled. I giggled as well.
"Rebecca, don't scare me like that."
"I'm sorry. I couldn't resist."
He rolled his eyes and giggled. "Come on, let's get going to rehearsals."
I smiled. "Alright. Working on the song today, right?"
He started walking to the door and I followed him. "Exactly. I can't wait."
"Neither can I."
We got in his car and Bill then drove us to the studio.
At The Studio
Once we got to the studio, Bill opened Michael's door and Michael got out, holding his hand out for me. I took his hand and got out. It made me giggle how he's being such a gentleman. He and I got inside the studio and they asked me to stay with Kelly, Brandon and Sean outside Club 30's.
Once the rehearsals started, we waiting and looked over the fence and saw a bright light and Michael walked into the club and the door closed. I heard the song and smiled a little. I saw Kelly go over to the door and get on bahagian, atas of the crates.
"Katie, be careful." I told her.
"I will, no worries." She replied.
She watched Michael dance and was a bit excited. I joined her after a bit and watched as well. He had looked at both of us and winked. We then saw him do his gravity-defying lean. I went wide-eyed.
'Oh my goodness...how is he doing that without falling on his face?!' I thought.
I looked behind me and Kelly and saw Brandon menunjukkan Sean that he "taught" Michael those dance moves. Kelly looked, too and she rolled her eyes and I giggled. After a few minutes, Kelly and I were taken away, only leaving silent screams for help. Brandon and Sean were freaking out. Soon, they heard a machine gun. Michael came out of the club and saw Brandon and Sean, but not me and Kelly. They ran up to Michael.
"Michael! Rebecca and Katie were kidnapped!" Sean said.
"Then why didn't anda come and get me? I was right in there." Michael said, pointing behind him.
"We couldn't!" Brandon said, freaking out.
"Did anda see which way they went?"
"That way!" Sean pointed to the left.
They ran a bit and saw Kelly's bunny with spiders all over it.
"Oh look at that." Brandon walked over to it with Sean.
Michael put his arm in front of them. "Don't touch it!"
"What are anda gonna do, Michael?
"You'll see what I can do..." Then Michael looked up a bit. "You'll see."
"......and cut! Good job, guys!" Frank said.
Kelly and I came back and giggled. We knew Michael didn't really shoot the machine gun. He was still being trained on how to use it.
"Alright everyone, that's good for the day. Great job and we'll try this number again tomorrow."
Kelly and I discussed when we were "kidnapped" that we'd play Bola sepak in the park after rehearsals. Kelly got Sean and Brandon and headed to the park first. Michael and I soon followed. It was quiet between us. Because of the irritating silence, Michael decided to bring up the rehearsal.
"How do anda think I did, Rebecca? I think I need a little lebih time to work on it. Especially the dance." He said.
I turned to him with a shocked face. "Don't say that, Michael. I thought it was perfect. That's how I'd do it if I was you."
He turned to me. "You really think it was perfect?"
"Yes."
He smiled a little at me. Soon, my hati, tengah-tengah raced and I got Rama-rama in my stomach. I put a hand on my chest, over my heart. Michael had done the same to himself. We looked at each other and blushed a bit.
"Rebecca, I...I have something to tell you."
"I do, too. anda first, though."
"No, ladies first."
"No, really. I insist, anda first."
"Okay, well...I-" Michael was cut off.
"Michael, Rebecca! Aren't anda guys coming?" Sean asked, shouting a bit.
I turned to him. "We'll be there in a minute, anda three. Be patient." I then turned back to Michael. "You were saying?"
He shook his head and chuckled nervously. "D-Don't worry about it. It's n-nothing."
"You sure?"
"Yeah, I'm sure."
"Okay. Well, let's go play soccer!" I took his hand and ran to the park with him.
He blushed because I had his hand. Once we got to the park, I let go of his hand and Sean berkata he'd be the referee. Our mini Bola sepak game started. Michael, while playing, was trying to figure out how to tell me that he had feelings for me. I was thinking the same thing as him. With only one soalan on our minds: How can I tell him/her?
