AN EXCITED group of local girls got a belated Krismas present when they met X Factor heartthrobs One Direction.

Cowie’s Caitlin Liddell (13), and pals Bryony Devlin (16) and Shannon Smith (13) were the envy of their Friends after getting the chance to chat to teen idols Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.

The rising stars, who finished third in this year’s competition, entertained festive revellers at Falkirk’s City nightclub last Monday.

Interviewer: Has a girl ever done anything to make anda cry?

Zayn: Yeah. Obviously having to perpecahan, berpecah up with people is difficult, which I went through recently. I do get quite emotional actually. I'm a bit of a softy. I tend to keep it to myself if I'm feeling upset about something though. I'll put my headphones on and block it out.
