naruto got me into anime and I liked Japan before I knew pokemon was connected to it.

Not at all. I actually LOVE Japan for it's high technology and stuff like that. As for anime, they use to be REALLY popular here, now, not many people are so crazy about it. My siblings and I use to really love a lot of them, Digimon, Yugioh, Dragonball Z, Dual Masters (DEFINITELY Dual Masters, Dragonball Z and Yugioh, they were a huge part of my childhood,) but now they're not as popular as they were back in the old days. Things just started going downhill for most of us here. Nowadays, people are more interested in things like, Left 4 Dead, Counter Strike, How I met Your Mother, and so on. People stopped watching a lot of the decent anime a long time ago and are more interested in US-related things. The only anime that is still tolerable here that I can think of is Digimon, Beyblade, Pokemon, and maybe even Yugioh, but many of those shows has lost a lot of viewers to the point that some of them even stopped airing. I stopped my interest in watching anime just to fit in, thank god I am still able to watch Pokemon.

when i first saw pokemon i didn't even know what an anime was. Mostly it was InuYasha that got me in to anime so much, and the animes got me like japan a lot.

Detective Conan was what actually got me into anime,and when I first saw Pokemon,I didn't know the difference between anime and an american cartoon at the time..so no.

pokemon was one of the first animes i watched but i think rurouni kenshin and yu yu hakusho got me to like it more

More just video games from Japan but yeah, Pokemon helped me get into anime.

No, never really put much thought in to Japan, its just another country to me and I just thought Pokemon was a cartoon when I first watched it.

I was never really into Japanese culture, except for when I was in second grade it interested me. But I hate anime so much, it's the worst. Everyone thinks I like it because I draw people with big sparkly eyes.
