Just because there was a movie made out of this theory doesnt mean the world is going to end for real.
The calendar is supposed to stop counting sejak December 31st of this tahun and i can tell anda right now this rumor is fake.
I suppose most people got the gig from that episode of Family Guy called "Da Boom" when the world ended at the beginning of 2000.
That explains why these rumors are going around possibly because people are so worried about pollution, air quality, and any kind of chaos that will happen.

I don't believe in "2012" but I do believe in the biblical end of the world, and I'm afraid it might happen soon but that's probally just because I read to much.

There's no telling when the world will end. Worrying and thinking about it is a waste of time; there's nothing we can do about it either way. Setting a tarikh for it to end is silly.
