is steam going to make a console?

Yeah, called the Steambox. Apparently its going to be coming out seterusnya year.

i don't know... all i know is that i bought two games from them so far and they're both pretty enjoyable :D... they're a big enough industry i suppose... the could probably make one if they felt like it...
