Are anda proud of your country?

I Cinta my country and what it was meant to stand for. It is the people in it, both it power and not who have made it something not real worthy of pride. My opinion only.

...i'm proud of what my country should be and what it stands for... but not for what it is... one black guy gets shot and the entire country is involved almost immediately... isis brutality killing thousands of innocent people... takes us over 5 months to respond with any sort of action...

what the hell happened to us? when did our priorities become so backward?

It's such a coincidence that anda asked this soalan on India's independence day. Well there are few thingies which upset me but honestly I feel very proud to be part of this country, it has got so many amazing personality and today we are living 67 years of Independence, India developed so much in 67 years (67 years lalu it was like a bonded nation whom Britain used to develop their country) now it is competing with other and soon it'll develop more. I am proud of it, the only thing which I hate is there are still people here who got dirty thinking but I know that our generation will be much better after 10 years India will be completely changed as we are gonna grow up and change the thinking. And it's still changing. Happy Independence hari to all the Indians

I am Undoubtedly proud of England and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. There'll always be an England, and England shall be free.

I'm proud of SOME parts. America still has religious freedom, the right of speech, the right to menanggung, bear arms, and other good things lots of other countries lack. But then we have a president who doesn't wait for Congress approval, destroyed our policy of not negotiating with terrorists, spends loads of money on expensive family vacations while we plunge deeper into debt, so on. And that doesn't just make me disappointed in our president, atau just our government. It makes me disappointed in the whole country, because the majority voted for him.

I am from Canada, things are kind of bad here, but I am proud, sometimes.

when the pentagon provides tanks to a small town to hold down a peaceful protest is when no one should be proud of america.

I'm mostly proud, I'm just hugely loathe so many kids and teenagers in my country.

Yes, I Cinta America, with my whole heart. I Cinta the ideals of the Founders and I Cinta the progress we are making, even if it's slow. Even if racism isn't dead. Even if it was only a few months lalu that I was telah diberi the legal right to get married in my utama state.

But there are things I'm not proud of - police brutality and the systematic racist and classist oppression of certain groups, lack of rights for queers, poc, women and immigrants, a bullshit government, a capitalist economy whose flaws outweigh its merits sejak hurting innocent people and Haiwan and the environment. I'm not proud of the ignorance atau lack of equality. I'm not proud of the establishments. But I'm proud we're increasingly aware of these inequalities and I'm proud of the people that care enough to try to change them.

It depends on what part. Sometimes, I'm very proud and sometimes I'm the opposite.
There's also the confusion over what I should consider my county - the UK, Britain and England are all different things, and my answer changes depending on which one I consider.
Generally, I'm very proud. I'm proud of the incredible Olympic/ Paralympic Games in London and Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. I'm proud of the incredible generosity of the people when it comes to charity and humanitarian aid. I'm proud of our long history and traditions we still carry with us. I'm proud of the NHS. I'm proud of the 99% of the population who are genuinely good people and work hard to make the world a better place. I'm proud of our culture and how rich it has become.
I'm not so proud of the history of colonialism and brutality. I'm not happy with the state of the education system (though I think it's a lot better than other countries). I'm not happy with the official government view on the Israel/Gaza conflict.

I'm from Canada - so far it has been the best country that I have been in. However, that said, I do see many things wrong with Canada, and most of the world for that matter.

I get frustrated over the whole system of things. Rich getting richer, laws protecting the criminals and not the victims, etc.

I guess it is like the Bible predicted the world would become.

Yes I am proud of America, I think we are making progress, but not as much thanks to a Gridlock Congress.

I honestly am very proud of my country. The United States may not be all smiles and rainbows, nor do we make the smartest decisions, but we definitely aren't as strict atau as pushy as some other countries. :|

I will always Cinta this country no matter how bad the president is. I was born here and I will die here. People who hate this country, there's something wrong with you. This country is amazing. I know that the government and Obama are god awful, but this country was much better long time ago. This country has nothing to do with anyone but the origins. But I hate the president and my parents do too. He ruined this beautiful country and he doesn't care for anyone. A president should Cinta this country and care for his own people before caring for other countries. My mom and dad say he's a communist, which is what he is.

*Sighs* I don't know which country is better to be in now. Egypt atau America? Because right now I worry for both of them. Oh wait...I am lebih proud of Egypt than I am of America. Especially with baru-baru ini events and whats going on in general.

For what it was meant to stand for, yes. But thats the thing: humanity tends to corrupt things that they get their evil lil hands.

Authority, which was once meant to be a sign of protection, and now sadly corrupted sejak the Evil that lies within this Earth.

The Law is corrupted, the government is corrupted and hell, maybe even some churches have gone dark. Humans everywhere have fallen into darkness, no light atau Cinta seems to be found in this Hell-hole.

Now, I don't mean to sound paranoid atau a downer, but it is the Truth. I know some humans are gullible and act like nothing is happening. But I know this world is F-ed up and is in need of Salvation. Well, not the world, but us.

however, now i sadly resonate in the Americas, which i dont like. to keep it short, americans are douche bags.

they are racist, and they dont think women deserve the same amount of pay of men? they are homophobic and the whole country is run sejak middle aged men.

anda could agrue that it has lebih freedom then other countries, which it does. but it still isnt all the way there.

in the constitution the tenth amendment would of been that women get the same pay as men, and anda cannot underpay a female on purpose just because shes a lady.

however, the men of the country seemed it was unfit, and since anda needed 3/4 of the undian for it to pass, it was never passed.

dont even get me started on slavery, which sejak the way was the worst thing in the history of america sejak far.

but dont get me wrong, there were other countries paticipating in slavery, but that doesnt help anything at all. america still did it, and its still wrong no matter how many other countries did the same.

and of course of the fact that people such as judges have a hard time arresting police officers for crimes. there have been many instances where american police officers have raped, abused, killed and stolen just because they wear a shiny badge, and most of the time, no one believes the victim.
and they have weird accents.

When it comes to NZ politics, nope nope NOPE.

But there are a few things I'm proud about. I'm proud that we established Weta Digital and now have a visual effects department that is internationally recognised. I'm also proud of how NZ does with sports, we have some pretty ace victories sports-wise.

NZ is little, but we're getting there :)
