"We must start with the children."
- Doris Twitchell Allen

Some history
In 1946, Dr. Doris Allen had an idea that eventually came to change the lives of thousands of children and adults across the globe. If kids were telah diberi the chance to learn about other cultures and make international friends, they would sejak default, be less willing to fight berkata friends. Thus they would choose to work towards world peace.
What started out as a single camp with delegates from eight countries in 1951 has now expanded to seven different international activities, with over 190,000 people having participated in over 500 activities. Will anda be one of them seterusnya year?

Activites
Village
- four weeks long
- for 11-year-olds
Interchange
- 14 - 28 days per phase (phases can be consecutive atau take place up to a tahun apart)
- age range 12-15
International Youth Meeting
- eight atau fifteen days long
- age range 12-19+
Summer Camp
- three weeks long
- age range 13-15
Seminar Camp
- three weeks long
- age range 17-18
International People's Project
- 14-21 days
- age 19+

People ages 16-19 can also be JC's (Junior Counsellors) at Villages. JC's are basically there to support the leaders and staff and to be someone the kids can relate to, seeing as they're closer to the kids in age than the staff is.
