Well..not all the time but i do use it a lot & don`t think it`s THAT offensive. People take swearing TOO seriously anyway.

I accidently did something terrible. Okay, I was kayaking at Turkey Run and there were some people that were mentally retarded in a canoe not far ahead of me. 18wanda from Fanpop thought it would be funny to play a joke on me. She kept staying there were kids in the woods throwing rocks at my canoe when she was really doing it. I believed her and after the millionth rock hit my kayak I got mad and went to the edge near the woods and I happened to say "HEY YOU FREAKIN' RETARDS!!! QUIT IT!" I forgot there were real retards in front of me.

I do think it depends. Like i have a cousin that is mentally challenged & if someone ever called him a retard I'd beat the shit out of them.

But if you're just pissed and you say something like 'ughhh this rule is retarted.' i don't see the big deal.

if you use it to pick on someone its not ok. but if you are pissed off at someone, something, or some rule its ok. i just don't think it should be used to bully someone just make them feel bad even though they did nothing to piss you off.

I never use it to insult someone; I only say it when I'm mad at something like if something's not going how I want it..."That's retarted!" But never EVER to insult someone.

I have a brother who is mentally challenged, and it makes my life really hard. So when someone uses it offensively, it just ticks me off, even online, when you can control what you write most of the time. On rare occasions, do I use it, but I don't like saying it as a bad word.
