Some people are saying that Stefan didn't really mean to apologize. That he only apologized because he has an ulterior motive. I don't agree with that. So I am going to say why I loved the DE scene at the end.
a) Ian did an amazing job in that scene and I felt Damon's pain (not as good as Paul in the break-up but I am biased after all, wink)
B) reason b with a capital B because Damon loves Elena but he put his relationship with his brother first. He could have gone and confessed his Cinta and not compelled Elena.
