Happiness. Love. His eyes sparkled with it as he gave her a small grin, causing her to gasp at the intensity of his stare. Even after everything of the past few years, she still wasn’t fully used to the way he looked at her now, his hati, tengah-tengah clearly mirrored in his face. She met his gaze with a full smile of her own, giggling softly as he tugged her hand to his lips and pressed a light Ciuman to her skin, his own grin widening as he stared at her.
“You ready?” he asked, sliding his fingers fully through hers, the metal band on his finger cool against her skin.
She chuckled and gave his hand a nervous squeeze; neither of them truly wanted the spotlight they were about to be thrust into, but Abby had insisted, and the idea and planning had made the goth so ecstatic that they had soon relented. “Yes,” she brought her other hand up to straighten his tie slightly, “we should go in, atau Abby will think we have jumped boat.”
He grinned, “Ship, jumped ship,” he corrected, and she rolled her eyes affectionately at the habit, delivering a playful slap to his chest.
“Whatever; either way, I do not wish to become one of NCIS’s unsolved murders.”
With a laugh, he cradled her face with his free hand, “Yeah, I’d really like to make it to our honeymoon.” He smooth his thumb across her cheek, sending an involuntary shudder through her, “Although, it really is a shame that we have to wait three lebih hours to celebrate our wedding properly,” his gaze darkened as his eyes dropped to her lips, causing her stomach to tighten in anticipation. Damn, three hours was going to be a long time.
Running her fingers lightly through his soft brown hair, she leaned up and pressed her lips against his ear, “Well maybe we will just have to find a way to leave earlier.”
He gave a small groan and tugged her closer, “God, I Cinta the way anda think.” Pressing his lips to hers, he gave her a quick but intense kiss, and her mind whirled at the heat that flared between them. Then he pulled back, giving her a sideways grin as they turned to face the doors once more.
“I Cinta you,” he whispered, and warmth flooded through her at his words. Returning his grin, she knew that her eyes where just as open as his. After all, she’d never been able to get them to shut up around him; only now, she was no longer afraid of what all they revealed.
“I Cinta anda too,” she returned, watching as his eyes light up at the rarely vocalized words between them.
Drawing in a deep breath, he tugged her ke hadapan to the door, “Okay, let’s do this.”
They pushed through the doors, and the DJ’s voice announced over the cheering of their friends, “Introducing for the first time…”
However, Ziva wasn’t listening. Because suddenly the surreal limbo that had surrounded this hari was gone, and the reality of it all finally sunk in. They really were married. She and Tony hadn’t messed this up; they hadn’t crashed and burned like so many had thought, and it hadn’t been just a fling like they had imagined it might turn out to be. She had just stood up and committed her life to the man beside her; the idea should really freak her out right now, but it didn’t.
Instead, she couldn’t stop smiling.
