I know, it's just not the looks. He's so poetic and complex and so selfless although he thinks he's the most selfish monster there is. He would even let the love of his life leave him for a mutt if that's what she wanted. He would want everyone else to be happy besides him. Like he doesn't deserve to be happy.

I think his appeal is in the fact that he is as good on the outside as he is on the inside

edward is no where near perfection- hes ugly, self-centered, over-controlling, protective, selfish and old-fashioned. jake, on the other hand....phwaor!!!!!!
