Jess's feet pounded against the gravel road as she ran farther from her home.
"Jess! Jess! It was a accident I swear!" her father's voice echoed behind her as tears stained her cheeks. Resisting the urge to stop and run back into her fathers arm, Jess kept pushing, pushing lebih than her body could go until she reach the outskirts of Gotham City. She leaned against to dinding to trying to regain her breath and energy she's just burnt out, looking to the right she heard rocks alih and feet shuffle.
"Hello there pretty girl." Two men stood in front of her, while another man stood behind her. Jess pressed her body fully against the wall,
"Get away from me!" Jess looked up as she heard shuffling of feet above her. She yelped as the man behind her grabbed her arm, and pressed up against the dinding face first, gagging her mouth. The other men laughed as Jess let out a curling hight pitched muffled scream.
"Let her go. NOW!" a shadowy figure stood behind them with his arm extended and fingers flexed, the men glanced at each other, then to the figures.
"Who are anda twirp?" One of the men spoke up,
"You're worst nightmare." the figure looked up with eyes glowing red, he snapped his wrist up and the men fell to their knees, jerking his arms to the side the men gasped as their head snapped around killing them. Jess looked up as the boy stepped out of the shadows.
"Your Welcome." the boy held out his hand, Jess remained silent and looked at him. "What can't talk?" Jess shook her head and kept looked at him, pulling the cloth off and let it hand around her neck. "I'm Kid Devil, but anda can call me Blake. C'mon, I'll tunjuk anda where I stay." Blake smiled and extended his hand farther. Jess smiled and nodded, taking his head.
