She pulled against her restraints, unable to see with the visor on her. She could hear voices and then a growl. She gulped at how close and hungry it sounded. Things weren't good. Not good at all. The sounds faded momentarily. Then a loud thump sounded along with several screams. She struggled more, wanting to be free. Crashes sounded and lebih screams. The visor was removed from her eyes and she looked at Becca's smiling face.
“Let's get anda out.”
“Becca? What's happening?”
“Cat's gone wild. We have to go.”
Becca unlocked one of the restraints. But a whip wrapped around her and pulled her back. Becca screeched as she fell, but quickly fought against it.
“Devin! Get Tara free!”
Devin flew in and hovered sejak Tara's side.
“We'll get anda free. No worries.”
“Please. anda think this is the first time I've been held against my will?”
Devin pulled a small switch blade out of her tali pinggang and moved to pick the lock. But just like Becca, Devin was held back. An arm wrapped around her stomach and a hand clamped on her mouth.
“If the kitten won't scream, I know how to make use of you.”
Devin shivered at the voice. The pisau had been thrown in the air when Devin was grabbed. Tara caught it with her mouth and ignored the sting as it cut her tongue. She grabbed the pisau with her free hand and picked the lock on her still restrained wrist. She quickly assessed the situations. Erin was trying to calm Cat down, Becca was fighting Serepta, and Devin was trying to get free of the pervy demon. Tara took the knife, throwing it over her shoulder as she went to help Becca. She heard a demonic howl and the loud fluttering of wings.
“Dev's free. Mission accomplished.”
She ran over to Becca, who had grabbed a sword from one of the guards Cat had killed.
“How can I help?”
“Just get Cat calm. When she's calm, we can leave.”
“Got it.”
Tara ran over to where Cat and Erin were.
“Easy Cat. It's just me. Calm down. I don't want to-yikes!”
Erin moved away as Cat's demonic claws came at her. She was panting heavily, meaning her power was draining. Tara formed a force field around Cat.
“How do we get her calm?”
“Not sure. Talking isn't helping and I'm NOT about to hug her with those claws.”
Tara winced as Cat tried to use the two long claws extending from her flesh to escape. A sudden pain hit Tara in the neck and she fell over. She blinked a few times and heard Erin mutter “tranquilizer” before she went under.
Becca watched Tara's shield fall. One of the dart's hit Cat and she was soon on the floor as well. Erin was doing her best to out run the guards, but Becca could see the girl's energy draining fast. Becca looked around quickly and saw Devin had already been taken out, probably sejak Teague. Becca growled. This fight would not be lost. She grabbed hold of her sword and swung it erratically at her sister. Each blow was matched sejak Serepta's own blade.
“You look a little slow Becca.”
“You look a little pale.”
“What can I say? Sun's not my friend.”
“Who is?”
Metal clashed again and the two sisters were face to face.
“You're stronger, Becca. Have anda been working out?”
“Oh anda know. Meditating, training, practicing cutting off your head.”
“Sounds like fun. But anda lack speed along with your force.”
“Oh do I? Well anda lack confidence. anda reek of desperation. Acro cheating on you?”
“No. Acro is my play thing. He adores every aspect of me. What about little Robin? How many Becca look a likes has he fallen for?”
“None.”
“Even if anda win this fight, anda know anda can't win the outcome.”
“Yeah. I know. But at least I can stop you.”
