The seterusnya time he woke, the room was bright with sunlight. His mind raced to remember coming here, to this grand room, but he found none. He didn't even know where “here” was; for the first time in his new life, he was terrified. He searched the room, but could find no shadows. It was like the room was meant to imprison him. His stomach twisted and he would have retched if there had been anything in his stomach. He scampered out of the katil and tried the doors to outside. They wouldn't budge; he could feel panic clawing at his throat as the action of breathing became harder to do. Finding the nearest corner, he sat down and tried to make himself breathe. The world seemed hazy and blurry. Then a tall figure came into view and he could only feel.
Crimson eyes watched the neko in front of him fight for breath. Kneeling down, he pulled the boy close, despite the fight he gave. His fingers brushed back blue locks and looked into deeper blue eyes.
“Hey, there's no need to panic. C'mon, everything is fine.”
A sweet voice rolled into Dylan's ears with a calm touch that spread through him like fire. He found that as the boy spoke, he could hear nothing else, not even his own breathes. Yet this did not worry him as he stared into endlessly affectionate red eyes.
“Ah there we go. See? No worries to panic about. I go sejak Amore, but my name is Crimson. anda can call me sejak either. Did anda just wake up?” After a small nod, he continued. “Mmm, it's strange for Sin isn't here. Well, would anda like something to eat since you're up?”
Dylan opened his mouth to refuse when his stomach growled loudly. He blushed a soft merah jambu color and nodded. The boy, Crimson, smiled.
“Alright. Why don't anda come with me then? I'll find anda some food.”
He nodded again and was suddenly lifted to his feet. His hand was grabbed and he went on instinct to pull it away. But the boy started to talk again and he soon relaxed. He didn't hear what was said, but the voice alone was enough to soothe him. His eyes latched onto everything around him. The halls were long and wide, pillars stretching higher than any pokok he had climbed. Several windows in the delicately decorated ceiling brought light into every inch of the castle. Stairways broke off to different areas, some carpeted. Rows of armor stood on either side and two guards stood at every door. Everything was bright and shined like all of Dylan's kegemaran things.
He was so enthralled sejak the view that he didn't know he was purring loudly until Crimson had stopped talking, a smile on his now silent lips. Before Dylan could decide to say anything, a wonderful smell hit his nose, causing his mouth to water. Crimson opened a door that lead to a very spacious dapur and sat Dylan at small breakfast booth. Then he crossed the room to the cook, who looked at him almost skeptically. Dylan could hear them talking, but he didn't hear the words. A minit later, a plate of funnel cake was set before him with a fork, a glass of juice, and a bowl of deliciously red strawberries. Even with his training, he couldn't resist the smell and dug in, albeit cautiously.
“Do anda like it?”
His head jerked up, eyes wide and fork stuck in his mouth, at the boy watching him eat. He gave a sheepish nod, having forgotten all about him. But the boy just smiled and watched the other eat his fill.
Two bright eyes looked out the window of the moving carriage. Impatience was seeping into the deepest parts of him. The scenery was not a helpful distraction. There wasn't much to look at here. He could see the slightest glimmer of a tall tower in the distant horizon. That meant they were close. A smile graced his lips and he closed his eyes, the lovely face coming to mind from years ago. It's been too long since I last saw him. He'll have grown better. He smiled again and found himself at ease.
