I stood in our guest room and waited for Thalia to finish in the washroom. She always had to put on her heavy black make up. I had changed into some jean shorts and an orange tube bahagian, atas with tiger print on it. Finally, Thalia walked out, all darkened up. Her red streaks were impossible to miss in her jet black hair. They curled around like tiny red snakes. She was wearing her kegemaran black jacket, her brown hiking boots, her kegemaran black jeans and a dark brown shirt. I went into the bath room and brushed my teeth, polished my claws, brushed my bulu and scraped the mud off my feet. I walked out to find Thalia already packing up. I smiled. She was always one step ahead of me. I started to pack up when someone knocked on the door. We looked at each other suspiciously. I mouthed ’Delta’ to Thalia. She would understand what that meant. We took up positions on either side of the door and I slid it open. The guy with red hair came in, but before I could get Thalia to stand down, she jumped him.
“Thalia! Stand down!” I yelled. She jumped off his back.
“What was that for?” he demanded
“Sorry. Old habits die hard, anda know?” I smiled sheepishly
“S’all right. Hey, anda girls want breakfast?” he asked
“No thank you” Thalia and I answered at the same time.
“Uh, okay” he walked out. I finished packing and Thalia and I walked out together.
“Do anda have any idea where we’re going?” Thalia asked
“Yes. We’re going to the people who let us sleep here to thank them, then ask them how to get out of this labyrinth of a place.” I said. I sniffed the air. I followed the scent of the red haired boy to a lounge. We walked in. But it wasn’t the people I found last night who were in there. They were all heroes.
“I am so sorry. I must’ve taken a wrong turn atau something back there because I was tracking an average person, not a hero. I was hoping he could tell us the way out.” I apologized
“Its okay Cat. anda and Thalia are welcome here” the one with the gills said
“How do anda know our names?” I demanded
“We met last night on the beach, remember?” he added
“Wait, anda are the people who came out last night?” I asked
“That was us” the youngest looking male said
“So, which one of anda did I flip over my head?” I asked
“That would be me” the youngest berkata again
“We were wondering if anda would like to sertai us here. Live here, train, and fight villains” the tallest offered
“What makes anda think we can’t live in our own home?!” Thalia demanded
He backed up. I grabbed Thalia’s wrist and pulled her into the hall.
“Thalia, calm down. They’re just trying to be nice” I soothed. She nodded. We both knew this was a once in a life time offer. We walked back in.
“After a brief discussion, we have decided on staying” I said
