I think that's perfectly normal. Questioning our own beliefs can lead us to knowleeedge.

^ Honestly, I'd be lying if I said I've never questioned my beliefs at least twice. In reality, there have been plenty of moments of doubt on wether the beliefs that I was taught was even worth holding on to :|

So, yes, I'm questioning my beliefs and part of me feels horrible about it. I've never experienced this before, to be honest. Growing up, I was raised as a Baptised Christian. But now?

I have no f***ing idea what I want to believe anymore or even if I want to have a certain view at all. I think I'm going to do some major soul-searching, along with research to figure all this sh*t out.

@shadowfan100 Yeah that's alright. I've questioned my beliefs myself and fixed them into something that makes sense to me. Soul searching would do a lot of good to help you believe in something that feels right for you.

^ Roxas

I'll definitely be doing so soul searching. Glad you have your beliefs figured out.

Blind,

I always was the questioning type. Even as a child, and a teen, there were certain things about my mothers beliefs that didn't always set well with me. Granted, I always did love the concept of what Jesus taught, about loving people unconditionally. So that's why I have 0% problems with those of the LGBT. That, and I'm technically LGBT myself. So, it'd be dumb to hate what I also am.

Alright, let's go over some basic facts about me in general and see if I can come up with something:

Fact 1: I've always had a stronger connection to animals than I ever did with my own race.

Fact 2: I can be logical, but also can be irrational at times (because my mind can think up some pretty illogical sh*t. Paranoia ain't fun)

Fact 3: I value differences, be it different races, species or views (though, admittedly, I'll never agree with everyone's views and that's ok). I generally believe differences are important to have.

Fact 4: I personally have always thought of myself (everyone else) as basically body and soul--referring to ones personally, the essence of who a person is. Basically, I'm talking about our consciousness. If that makes no f***ing sense, I'm sorry :(

Fact 5: I believe in sentimental value, like how I still keep my dogs old, dirty toys from way before he passed away. The logical side of me KNOWS they're just physical things, but keeping them in general helps me feel some form of connection to him (as well as the other pets I've lost).

Fact 6: I value the concept of respecting the dead. Yes, I know they're just bodies, but still. I can't bring myself to ever walk on a persons' grave, not without feeling some amount of guilt. That's just how I am.

Fact 7: Another thing I genuinely believe (and know as a fact) is that all humans are capable of some degree of evil intentions, be it small or big. Nobody is perfect, not even myself. I f*** up a lot, don't even get me started.

Fact 8: Despite how I shift with this view from time to time, I generally do believe that most people are capable of redemption, while others may be... too far gone.

Fact 9: I'm into the concept of spirit animals, and basically having a spiritual bond with a certain animal. I think my spirit animal is a dog <3

Fact 10: I believe in forgiveness, but not stupidity. My forgiveness is no excuse to keep backstabbing me.

^ Twinklestar,

I'm basically asking if it's ok to sometimes question your own beliefs.

^ Chibi

The ones I was originally taught: Christianity (Baptist, specifically.)

Pretty much, just as Roxas put it. Questioning our own beliefs can lead us to knowledge. By going through this path, you get a better view of them as well as yourself. It helps in determining what you stand for. I can relate to most of your facts Shadow. Also, it doesn't necessarily mean or lead to denial. It can empower those beliefs of yours too !!!!
