Lupin = Mary Sue?

For anyone who remembers the Lupin III series such as istana, castle of Cagliostro atau the shows that used to appear on Adult Swim, does anyone think he's like a Mary Sue atau something?

I don't think so, because a Mary Sue is usually written in to score with the writer's kegemaran character, and Lupin never really fully gets Fujiko; she remains just ever so slightly out of his reach. As for the other girls, they're just "guest stars".
