Does anyone know if the Haruhi in The Melchancy of Haruhi S is the same one in Oran High School Host Club? If so it a prequel of a sequel? If not what is it about and who is this Haruhi?

Kat-chan is right, they are completely unrelated series, the characters just happen to have the same name. There are actually quite a few characters named Haruhi in anime, its a rather common name.

No, they are not the same. Haruhi Fujioka from Ouran is not the same at all... It is also not a sequel in any way whatsoever. Just a Rawak coincidence... atau just the fact that a lot of Japanese names get over-used in anime. Lol.
