...If not for that cricket. Most of these we'd all agree are not necessary to be a good bride, daughter, friend, wife, atau sister, but for kicks, since we never got to find out if she passed, let's see how she would have scored:

Good fortune: Well, I don't believe in luck, but she sure had a lot of it in the movie. Her plans were all crazy-sounding yet they all miraculously worked! Check.

A great hairdo: I know not everyone cares for Mulan's hair but I Cinta her matchmaker hair. Pretty and elegant but in a rather casual way, so it Suits her. Check.

Striking a good match: Well, obviously, she can't unless she passes the test. But Shang sure is a good one, but too bad for her he doesn't tunjuk up till well after the test, so I'll discount this one.

Good taste: I never got this one. Good taste in what? Clothes? Friends? In general, I suppose. When I think of tastefulness I generally think of a rather sophisticated person. Mulan has her own kind of poise, but I wouldn't call her sophisticated. But she does have great clothes (I'm a little biased- I Cinta almost all kinds of those traditional Asian dresses and adore her bride gown), so I'll give her a half-check.

Calm: Yep, she's one of the calmest Disney Princesses. Check.

Obedient: A big trait about Mulan that is very forgettable with people. She's a very obedient daughter. Check.

Works fast-paced: Mulan is a liiiittle lazy and unmotivated, but when she works, she works hard. Half-check.

Good breeding: I know some people think she literally meant getting it on, but no, breeding was another word for upbringing. They mean coming from a good background/family/etc. Mulan's family seems to be socially accepted and maybe even respected. (Then, of course, the Emperor honors her family, which would help enormously.) She may not be Melanie Wilkes, but she's very well-behaved, respectful towards everyone (especially her elders), obedient, modest, and has grace under fire. Check.

A tiny waist: Mulan does not have a tiny waist, although they sure gave her one with the scarf. But according to the matchmaker, this was too tiny a waist- not good for bearing sons! No check.

Bringing honor to her family: She always tried to bring honor to them the one way she could: sejak being a loyal daughter, even if it meant marrying a stranger. (And again, then saving China...) Check.

Others-

Speaking without permission: anda Lost there, Mulan. No check.

Reciting the final admonition: anda totally cheated, Mulan, but anda passed... sejak a thread! Check.

Poised: I know Mulan is clumsy, but I think she can be poised. She looks very dignified during the song as well as when she takes out her dad's sword, and even when she sits in the rain, about to make the fateful decision. She's always composed, too, almost never having any outbursts. Check.

Dignified: See above. Sometimes she can't help it due to the clumsiness (and how can a girl possibly look sophisticated with Mushu's Nasihat on Berlakon like a man?), but check.

Refined: She's dignified but not so refined, which is lebih of Aurora's thing. No check.

...AND SILENT!: She's pretty quiet, but apparently not enough for the matchmaker. No check.

So altogether, 12 points. I'm sorry to say I have no idea how the matchmaker grades these tests so I can't tell anda what this means, but I do think Mulan would have done all right, if not well. How anda treat your parents, animals, kids, and the elderly can say a lot about what kind of wife/husband material you'd make, and I think Mulan would be a great one, even regarding many of the matchmaker's lofty, unnecessary standards.

Do anda think she would have passed? Done well,, but failed? Not done very well at all?
Merida and Ariel have very similar characteristics with similar goals, stories, and mistakes. They are both fiery, spirited, stubborn, headstrong, rebellious, foolish, careless, inconsiderate, look-before-they-leap types. They both rebel against an overprotective, overbearing parent. They both go after what they want without considering (or caring) about the consequences. Merida wants her freedom to ride and shoot arrows as much as her hati, tengah-tengah desires. Ariel wants to explore the surface and live among humans.

However, many of the same people that praise Ariel for overcoming oppression and going...

I Cinta Membaca fanfiction. Especially the really stupid ones where some Mary Sue meets Justin Bieber at Starbucks and two minit later, she's pregnant.
Anyway, Disney fanfiction is usually read-able... usually.

Now, I don't write fanfiction. Frankly, I'm far too lazy to finish a full story, although I am quite imaginative and I do feel that I understand the characters well enough to do an okay job in portraying them. A big problem in Disney fanfiction, and fanfiction in general, is that authors often misunderstand the characters.

In this article, I am going to focus solely on high school AUs,...

The first Disney Princess Movie I watched was Sleeping Beauty when I was a little girl. I liked Aurora, Phillip and the fairy sequences but when Maleficent came on I got bored and hid behind the settee. Causing my mum to think I was scared of Maleficent. My mum wondered if I wanted it to be turned off. I berkata no. I sat on the settee and watched the ending, which I loved.

I think I then saw the Princess Filem in this order - I definitely saw either The Little Mermaid atau Beauty and the Beast at the cinema for the saat release but I can't remember which one:
1. The Little Mermaid
2. Beauty and...

Hi guys, so this artikel is literary my first impressions on the 2017 live-action reboot of the Disney Classic that we all grew up with it.

The Cast

I was initially a little disappointed that Disney didn't get either Emmy Rossum atau Anne Hathaway for Belle, but one problem with the latter is that Anne will be typecast as a royalty. So, Emmy would be the possible choice due to her Singing experience.
Whereas the Beast may either be play sejak Gerard Butler, Patrick Wilson atau Joaquin Phoenix, but with Emmy as Belle. It would be like Gerry has played the Phantom's ancestor while Emmy is Christine's...

Hi guys, I'm going to be Penulisan why I felt that Cinderella is better than Beauty and the Beast. No, it's not their animated counterparts, I'm referring to their respective live-action counterparts.

The Characters

In Cinderella, the tajuk character's role was expanded unlike her animated counterpart. Her character development has significantly improve and I'm very happy about it, because we get to lebih about Cinderella and how she got her trademark name. Which is taken from the original fairy-tale!
Whereas in Beauty and the Beast, they actually copycat the animated feature, Belle's and the...

First let me apologize for the pictures. My life is jem packed right now and I wanted to get this artikel published seeing as that we are already past melati, jasmine month. So I used tiffany88's moodboards instead.

Well, it's that time again, now that melati, jasmine bulan has ended to give anda my senarai of who I think Jasmine's kegemaran princesses would be. Sorry that it's a little late. As always, I don't profess to be an expert on this. Also, I eventually just ended up posting this because I couldn't really come to a conclusion.

Yeah...I think we all saw this one coming. Though it's predictable,...

Thanks to Princesslullaby's baru-baru ini tinjauan questions, I ended up looking at my own childhood vs. each Disney Princess's childhood. Some of this is just painful for me, and there is no getting around that.

My categories of adverse childhood situations (some with severe adverse conditions) are based on evaluation from the domestic violence class I took. I'll be frank. I have my own dissociation/childhood trauma.

This is an artikel where I'm defining where I'd group categories of adverse childhood experiences, specifically for the Disney Princesses. I'll also add in how each princess copes with their...

This revisionist fairytale, while less inspired than average Pixar fare, boasts typical awe-inspiring animasi and flare. The contemporary story of mother-daughter bonding is a step in a new direction, but the main problem is the convoluted execution and the fact that Merida craves adventure but is stuck in a mother-daughter psychodrama.

"I've only seen it once so I don't have too much to say about this one. What I remembered about it is that I loved Merida and really felt connected to her and her mom's relationship. I was invested in their story and wanted it to work out well...
