.... atau Are They? I keep hearing this massive distortion that Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora and sometimes others are "unrealistically perfect". Well first of all, they're not actually "perfect" but yes they strive for it and come pretty close. The number one reason? The earlier DPs were made in a time where families were still valued as well as good morals and they were on their best behavior in front of children, hoping that the kids would learn to embrace positive traits and reject negative traits so they would be lebih positive people. They cared lebih about well-roundedness, being modest in all aspects because true modesty wouldn't just be limited to attitude, manner atau appearance but apply to all aspects. Likewise, the DPs were shown to be modest in all aspects: Positive and pleasant demeanor, graceful and good etiquette and feminine yet modestly dressed.

Secondly, they were obviously not uncommon atau unrealistic for their time but they still aren't now! Need proof? Here are some examples of women in the spotlight who managed to hold onto their morals and who are just as "unrealistically perfect" as the DPs whom are accused of being such. Do people really see them as unrealistic atau is that just an attack on a certain type of female that isn't embraced and respected anymore? atau has the focus shifted so much to a certain type of female that the others are relatively belittled? Whatever it is, I hope this artikel enlightens those who are so quick to judge the classics for being too "perfect" atau "unrealistic". Here are 14 beautiful women from the 1920s to now who have been in the spotlight yet never caused a scandal, never posed atau filmed nude, never gotten any Tatu and never debased their moral character for society atau the media. (As far as I know of but I did thoroughly check.) Women in Hollywood, the media and spotlight culture are the most likely to do all of these things which is why I used these standards to down the candidates as much as possible to prove a point. Point being anda can find virtuous women even in unlikely times atau circumstances. Lessen the restrictions on my criteria and you'd have anywhere from 10-100+ extra female candidates. I didn't include women who overcame their mistakes (drug abuse etc.) and have lived modestly ever since atau women who have only ever done nudity for film/TV but dress modestly publically; If I had then that would automatically be at least 15+ women. These women actually had pressure on them to "shake things up and get attention" yet they used their talents and not their bodies, rants/tantrums, scandals atau violence to make an impression. I will always stand up for what I believe in which is morality, modesty and true balance. That is what this artikel shows, women who had a true balance who didn't need to "use their assets" to play up to men atau make other women feel uncomfortable to get ahead. Instead these women were the reality of "modest and balanced women" who deserve respect and appreciation for not allowing others to corrupt atau pervert them to their own personal biases and goals. So for all of those who doubt that women can change things atau be "progressive", "successful" atau "independent" while still being "feminine", "demure", "seemingly perfect", "innocent" atau "old-fashioned" etc, please take a read:

1. Norma Shearer: Spotlight 1920s-1940s (Snow White: 1937)
"Norma Shearer was a Canadian actress who became one of the biggest Hollywood stars of the 1930's and was known as the "first lady of MGM". She was nominated six times for the Academy Award for Best Actress, winning once, for her role in 'The Divorcee' in 1930. She has not been remembered as some of her contemporaries have but recently her career has been re-evaluated and celebrated as one of cinema's feminist pioneers: "the first American film actress to make it chic and acceptable to be single and not a virgin on screen". She also starred in undoubtedly her finest career performance, was in the all-star, all-female comedy, 'The Women' in 1939, in which she triumphed amidst the stiffest competition from co-stars Joan Crawford, Rosalind Russell and Paulette Goddard."

2. Grace Kelly: Spotlight 1950s-1960s (Aurora: 1959)

As Princess consort of Monaco she fulfilled duties of her Royal position, and set up a Foundation to promote the arts and help disadvantaged children. As a movie bintang Grace Kelly gave the impression the one who was cool, serene, every inch the aristocratic lady. It seems remarkable that such a woman could have forged her way to the bahagian, atas in the competitive feverish world of Hollywood."

3. Audrey Hepburn: Spotlight 1950s-1970s (Belle: 1991)
"Most of us know Audrey Hepburn as a beautiful woman – a woman who was one of the defining individuals of the film and fashion industry of her time. But what a lot of us don’t know is that Audrey Hepburn was a woman who used all the fame and fortune she received in her career to become a commendable humanitarian. With her work as a UNICEF ambassador, devotion to being a mother, and life founded on kindness and compassion, Audrey has remained a treasured household name; and not just from of her style and career as an actress, but from her inner beauty, wisdom, and Cinta that touched everyone around her."

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, Ciuman a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another hari and I believe in miracles.” ~ Audrey Hepburn

"You can tell lebih about a person sejak what he says about others than anda can sejak what others say about him." ~Audrey Hepburn

“There is lebih to feminine charm than just measurements. I don’t need a bedroom to prove my womanliness. I can convey just as much femininity, picking apples off a pokok atau standing in the rain.” ~Audrey Hepburn

"A quality education has the power to transform societies in a single generation, provide children with the protection they need from the hazards of poverty, labor exploitation and disease, and telah diberi them the knowledge, skills, and confidence to reach their full potential." ~ Audrey Hepburn

4. Lucille Ball: Spotlight 1950s-1980s (Anna: 2013)
"For over sixty years, Lucille Ball has been regarded as one of the original “Queens of Comedy,” and rightfully so. From I Cinta Lucy and The Lucy tunjuk to such classic Filem as The Long Long Trailer and Yours, Mine and Ours, Lucy has constantly provided the world with laughter (thanks in part to the magic of reruns). But Lucy did lebih than just make people laugh: she showed the world that a woman could do [something] a man could do — and she could be successful at it, too. In 1962, Ball became the first woman to run a major Televisyen studio, Desilu. Her studio produced many successful and popular Televisyen series, including Mission: Impossible and bintang Trek. She continued making film and Televisyen appearances for most of the rest of her life, albeit without ever attaining the success she enjoyed in the 1950s."

5. Jackie Kennedy: Spotlight 1960s (Jane:1999)
"There’s so much we learned from this remarkable woman and her amazing life that it’s hard to even know where to begin in recognizing her for all of her accomplishments. Kennedy was best known for being a student, editor, Brave wife, mother, cultural guru, and style icon. She was very intelligent (she spoke four languages!), elegant, sweet and reserved. Jackie was a peminat of anything cultural. “Before Jackie, America wasn’t thought of as particularly sophisticated in literature, atau poetry, atau music, atau art. We had it all along. We just had no one to showcase it. But Jackie did those magical White House evenings that let the world know America didn’t have to take saat place to anyone,” Flaherty said."

6. Linda Ronstadt: Spotlight 1970s-2010s (Pocahontas: 1995)
"One of the greatest vocalists of all time, male atau female. penulis Andrew Greeley, in his book God in popular Culture, described Linda Ronstadt as “the most successful and certainly the most durable and most gifted woman Rock singer of her era.” Linda Maria Ronstadt, an American popular Muzik singer, was born July 15, 1946 in Tucson, Arizona. She has earned 11 Grammy Awards, three American Muzik Awards, two Academy of Country Muzik awards, an Emmy Award, an ALMA Award, and numerous United States and internationally certified gold, platinum and multiplatinum albums. She has also earned nominations for a Tony Award and a Golden Globe award. Christopher Loudon of Jazz Times noted in 2004, Ronstadt is “Blessed with arguably the most sterling set of pipes of her generation … rarest of rarities – a chameleon who can blend into any background yet remain boldly distinctive … It’s an exceptional gift; one shared sejak few others". sejak the turn of the ’70s she was the most popular female artist of the decade. Multi-platinum albums, a rakit of hit singles, sold out concerts–she graced the covers of both Time and Rolling Stone magazine–Ronstadt literally wrote her own ticket, essaying a wide swath of musical styles and genres numbering country, pop, rock, R&B, jazz, new wave, American songbook standards and mariachi. And the one common thread through all of her music? Her peerless interpretative skills, fearless versatility and hard fought integrity." (Also notable: after a while she encouraged her backing band to go off and form the Eagles.)

7. Tina Fey: Spotlight 1990s-Now (Tiana: 2009)
"Constantly surrounded sejak people like Miley Cyrus and Kim Kardashian, it is hard to find a female celebrity who is actually worthy of praise. Not many selebriti fit the criteria for the definition of a “role model” anymore. From dancing on foam fingers to mug shots, most of the women we see on Televisyen are examples of how NOT to act. However, comedian Tina Fey is a relief to those of us who have been yearning for proof that talented, funny, intelligent women do exist. She was the youngest winner of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor. – She has also won eight Emmys, two Golden Globes, five Screen Actors Guild Awards, and Four Writers Guild of America Awards. Tina Fey didn't become the first female head writer at Saturday Night Live sejak following the pack. "So, my unsolicited Nasihat to women in the workplace is this," she writes in her New York Times best-selling book Bossypants. "When faced with sexism, atau ageism, atau lookism, atau even really aggressive Buddhism, ask yourself the following question: 'Is this person in between me and what I want to do?' If the answer is no, ignore it and alih on. Your energy is better used doing your work and outpacing people that way. Then, when you're in charge, don't hire the people who were jerky to you." Unlike most women in Hollywood, Tina Fey doesn’t use her sexuality to make her famous and get her ahead. She doesn’t flaunt her beauty atau her body, and uses her personality and humor to woo audiences across the world. She has proven that generic beauty is not necessary in order to be successful, something so often overlooked sejak today’s younger generations. Tina has never been afraid to take on the male dominated profession of comedy and comedic writing. As a woman, she is one of the most famous and loved comedians of our generation."

8. Amy Poehler: Spotlight 2000s-Now (Elsa: 2013)

10. Taylor Swift: Spotlight 2000s-Now (Merida: 2012)

"But it's not the truth of it. The truth of it is that every singer out there with songs on the radio is raising the seterusnya generation." Taylor respects herself, and her fans, enough to keep her public image clean and classy. I don't need to tell anda that most of the young ladies in Hollywood do not dress, how do I say, appropriate for their age. Taylor breaks that mold too. Her style tastefully fits her age and always has — and it's one that I feel sets a good example for girls. She also writes a lot of her own material. Taylor could easily have people Penulisan songs for her, but she does it herself."

"I feel like if anda have a female comic character and then anda see her nipples, then she is no longer funny," Fisher told the Sydney Morning Herald. "...which is clearly wrong, but that was my theory, and that's why I didn't want to do it.""

14. Kate Middleton: Spotlight 2010s-Now (Cinderella: 1950)
"The Duchess of Cambridge can be recognised as a great role model for women, especially young adults. She displays lovely qualities, such as her caring nature, humour, charm and genuine kindness. When on her public engagements she is open, down-to-earth, and willing to get involved with the public. She is exactly what women need to look up to in a world subjected to reality TV and selebriti seeking fame and fortune. Duchess of Cambridge therefore offers an alternative image, menunjukkan young girls that anda can be stylish and admired, as well as being intelligent and hard working. She has also updated traditional outlooks, giving them a positive, modern and relevant clarification, but without damaging women’s equality. The Duchess of Cambridge, through waiting nine years before marrying Prince William, shows that determination and patience is important. Her style is inspiring, especially for young girls, as she tunjuk us that women can dress modestly yet still be fashionable and incredibly stylish! She recycles her clothes, buys from affordable stores and has even been seen to wear clothes borrowed from her mother! She shows us how to dress sustainably, sejak adding different accessories to the same dress, transforming the look. In the long term this is environmentally friendly, and she encourages us to appreciate what we have rather than going out and buying more. Her genuine smile shows that she’s not in any way fake, and she has never done anything bad for publicity. The Duchess of Cambridge is a fresh air of elegance: kind, caring and modest. She shows characteristics we must all show, as she is involved with charity, considerate, a positive fashion ikon and very normal! She is a wonderful mother and wife and, despite now being part of the Royal Family, she is still very much ‘Kate’."

Note: I do not like atau agree with all of the women's positions on this senarai so this is not my subjective opinion. This was meant to be an accumulative senarai of objectively the "cleanest" atau most "seemingly perfect" role Model in spotlight history to prove that Snow White, Cinderella & Aurora are not as unrealistic as people claim. There are many lebih Pelakon wanita that I would have liked to have put on this senarai as they admit their mistakes etc. but I decided to stick to as objectively perfect as possible.

13. Cinderella

Ah, I have never liked Cinderella's hair. Even when I was five. It's bland, it's boring, I can't tell if it's wavy atau poofy atau what, and the color reminds me of mustard (which I quite strongly dislike.) Even in an updo, it looks like a butt.

12. Tiana

Her hair seemed like it would have been really curly and pretty. . . had she let it down. Before I chopped all my hair off in a whirlwind rage, I could relate to wanting to keep my...

Who is fanpop's most lust-based couple?
Who is fanpop's most lust-based couple?
So, as a lot of anda probably know I recently did a countdown for the most lust-based DP couple. Merida is eliminated sejak default, and I didn't include Frozen, so we'll be looking at ten couples. Anyway, without further ado, let's begin!

10. Snow White and The Prince
For tenth place the only real contenders were these two and Mulan/Shang, so much so that there was a tiebreaker. But, even though they kissed while the latter couple didn't, people found this couple to be less lust-based because of the youth and innocence of Snow White and, to a lesser extent, The Prince.

They are way too asexual to...

Hey Ironhide, news flash! Princess can be brave too!
I thought I'd spare a moment to describe the braveness of the bravest group of gals I know: the Disney Princesses!

This isn't a countdown of the bravest princess, this is merely a senarai describing what I feel to be the bravest moment of each princess (in what I hope is chronological order).

Snow White

We start with the first! I feel Snow White to be one of the bravest princesses, for many reasons. 1) She put up with being a slave for fourteen years, 2) she didn't completely freak out when the Prince snuck up on her, 3) she pulled herself back together after being chased in the creepiest forest...

Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs

I didn't shred any tears but I felt emotional inside when Snow White was in her coffin in the candlelight of the cottage. I mourned with dwarfs, Haiwan and later The Prince until Snow White awakened from the death-like coma. I just wish after the Prince had kissed her and sat mourning on the ground, Disney had waited a beat atau two before waking her up. They spoiled the moment sejak having her stir awake just as quickly. Oh I forgot, another scene that made me feel emotional is when after Snow White has ran into forest and is crying. At that moment I thought "She needs...

I thought instead of bombarding all anda guys with my opinion nukes, I'd start out with introducing myself.

I'm 14, and I'm quite paranoid about websites using my personal information to hunt me down, which is why I always use a fake name. But don't worry, the rest of this artikel is true.

My name isn't Giyane, it starts with a K (my 2nd kegemaran letter after V). My name is Kallysta (or at least, I wish it was). I'm very weird once anda get to know me, but hey! We're all mad here, am I right?

Let's face it: we live in a man's world. If anda don't think that's true, slap yourself and take a look at the real world. Under Iranian Islamic law, if a woman isn't a virgin when she's married, she gets 100 lashes. Harsh. Men are even paid lebih than women on average, and that's in the United States.

Now, I am a feminist. Before anyone throws something at me, I want to say that people are misconstruing feminism, and it's making me sick. Feminism isn't about burning bras atau hating men, it's about equality. It's about a world where no gender is oppressed. And Disney can have a big part in that....

10. Rapunzel: I just don't think she is pretty. It's mostly the animasi that gets me. Her eyes are huge and she's way too skinny. I don't like her hair either. It's way too long. And when she cuts her hair short she looks worse. Maybe if they made her animated like the rest of the princesses she would be higher up the list!

9. Snow White: I don't exactly find her ugly but I wouldn't consider her pretty either. Her eyes are beautiful though. She would be a lot higher on this senarai if she had longer hair. Her face just looks chubby and her hair is so boring. She's also way too pale.

It's been over a tahun since I last wrote this artikel and my opinions has changed since then so here's an updated list. I'm planning on doing this with their Swedish Singing Voices too

10. Belle

I honestly don't understand why people loves her Singing voice. First of all her voice is a little annoying and not a voice I could listen to all day. saat her voice doesn't suit Belle imo. If her voice wasn't so annoying it would be a little higher on this list

9. Jasmine

Once again I decided to seperate melati, jasmine and Mulan even though Lea Salonga did the Singing voice to both of them. Anyway...

I realize is not a typical princess and would look a little strange with the others, but correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't one of the things about the Disney Princesses is that they're each unique in their own way. Well Sofia is just that, she's unique.

Also, another thing about Disney Princesses is their characters. The Disney Princesses are supposed to be role Model and their personalities are supposed to be one that we can relate to and ones that can rub off on us. Sofia is kind, unselfish, brave, will never give up on a friend, and she is willing to sacrifice for her friends. In the recent...
