So, with this topic on whether atau not Elsa should be gay has been very popular over the internet, I felt it was time to tell anda my opinion on this topic.

Before anda get disgusted with me atau anything, I have no problem with the LGBT community. In fact, my best friend is gay, and we often talk about boys and "ship" each other.

Now, there are a lot of reasons I think Disney should wait and make an original gay princess instead of making Elsa gay, I mean the main reason is I see Elsa as having no interest in romance- whether it's a male atau female. I would much rather have a sequel centering around the sisters' relationship.

But there are other reasons too.

For one, I think it would be much lebih iconic to have a princess who we know is gay from the beginning. I mean sequels tend to be less iconic than original movies. I mean not always, because there are a lot of iconic sequels such as Toy Story 3.

I mean yes, Elsa is lebih popular, and people would be much lebih hateful with someone that's gay from the beginning, but sucks for them, right?

And with it being banned in countries where homosexuality is illegal, people tend to say "well Disney can survive with losing money". While I agree with this, because they'd lose money making a princess gay from the beginning, but it's not only money that I am worried about.

In these countries, there probably are people just as excited about Frozen 2. I think this would cause a lot of broken hearts if it was banned.

Another reason is I think it would be a horrible stereotype, as berkata on the wall. I mean just because someone doesn't like any men automatically means they're gay? I don't really think that's a good message to send to girls.

Plus, a lot of homosexual people don't like Frozen, so they might not want to watch the saat movie. How about a movie that they will want to watch?

As I berkata before, Elsa should stay single! I see her as asexual and would be a movie about Anna and Elsa's relationship, and Elsa adapting to her duties as queen. I think Elsa needs lebih room to develop, and putting her into any sort of relationship won't help that.

I would appreciate your opinion on my opinion (lol). But if anda are to disagree at all, whether it's with me atau with someone in the comments, I ask that anda disagree respectfully. If anda don't, I won't bother to argue with you. Anyway thanks for reading!

You'll notice that characters created around the same time as each other tend to share traits that are popular at the time atau big with the artist/director/etc who works with them.

However, I'm not here to talk about personalities. Those have already been covered sejak many interesting authors who explore the topics far lebih effectively than I could. What I want to talk about is common overarching themes I have noticed in each generation of princesses.

Classic Princesses

A common theme with the first three Disney princesses (Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora) I think is maintaining hope and optimism...
