SO? Selena Gomez is spanish and italian but I think she looks like Snow White, who is white as hell! Besides, Jasmine was based off a white woman since she was modeled after the animators sister.

But to add to my point, in the past in fanpop, people have told me that I look like Tiana, who is black and I'm white as hell. People of different races can look alike. I think Tiana and Belle look a lot alike.

Even though she is from "Zaragoza" she is clearly dressed as European Spanish which is technically white.

Race aside, she just doesn't look much like Jasmine to me. She kind of looks like Esmeralda, though.

to answer the question though, i don't think she does, and not because of her heritage or whatever.

imo, the only thing they have in common is that they're women with dark complexions. also in order to look like jasmine her eyes would have to be like 5000 times bigger.

^ I am half Hispanic (mom from Spain) and I am considered white because it is European Spanish. The costume designer and director clearly wanted her to look European Spanish as she is in traditional dress for flamenco.

Zaragoza is an actual state in Spain, though, and the actress is from Catalunya (another state), and like dancing_dear stated she's dressed in a flamenco dress, the traditional cultural dress of Andalucia (another state...it's where flamenco music was born...And where the largest community of Roma in Spain reside, their influence over flamenco music is very obvious there...), so we must assume that the movie intended for her character to be Spanish. Spanish and not Hispanic (that's a vague term used to mix in the Spanish with the Latin Americans who speak Spanish, but when we see the character being clearly Spanish, we say it like it is).

I don't think she looks much like Jasmine. She's beautiful, though.
