Maybe because everyone has a different taste in books.

One word. Escapism.

Maybe it's because nonfiction buku are written about what Has happened and what Does exist. People read fiction because it is a gateway into a Fantasi world were no one is bound sejak the confines of reality. After being awake 12 hours a hari for years, people could tire of everyday life and wish to escape it somehow.

because with story buku anda can escape from your own life for sometime , I guess ^^

Because people can usally seek for buku that could take them for a adventure full of thrill atau sorrow. The adventure can be in buku to if anda decide to escape to a magnifacent world. People have different taste like; Drama, Mournful, Happy, Historical and many others and yes "How to a success in life." But I still believe that only anda can find the road of adventure to pass.

Well.... most people prefer Membaca buku that can take them away to non-existing places, just for the fun if it!
buku like that contain adventurous experiences, fun, suspense, (sometimes) horror and more!
yes a lot of people do read non-fiction books, and they usually contain pretty interesting facts, but they are not as amusing (in the sense of liking suspense and adventure atau just plain fantasy).

Because I find nonfiction boring.

People read to gain knowledge, better themselves, atau for enjoyment.
Sometimes we need an escape from real life. It helps our minds refresh and reboot.

People tend to prefer certain genres of buku over others depending on their interests at the time.

Fictional stories also provide an escape, and often help someone forget about what has been happening in their waking life.
