Why do anda think people feel attacked atau offended when others criticize the things they really like?

Well for one. If they are extremely passionate about something they tend to be protective and another thing would be that sometimes that "criticism" is actually insults in disguise. I mean if the person who is criticizing a certain tunjuk doesn't use insults and use facts and opinions. Then it's possible your scenario won't occur but if the peminat still couldn't accept that person's opinion. Then it's possible that that peminat is fanatical,extremely obsessive and can't handle opinions. I mean go into the Justin Bieber club,One Direction clubs,Street Fighter forum and anda will see rabid peminat-peminat if someone criticizes their kegemaran things. Those groups tend to have alot of fanatic people.

I have been literally attacked verbally for liking certain things. It wasn't just an opinion, nor was it just criticism. They were going far too overboard with it and just started completely insulting me for liking something. So it isn't always just the peminat-peminat feeling they are attacked. Sometimes they are attacked so one thing leads into another. And some people are used to being attacked so they automatically defends their kegemaran things.

But honestly there are many scenarios as to why they would be offended atau attacked and every scenario is different at times but not always. I mean if someone harshly criticize (And not intelligent criticizm and even if they did do it in an intelligent manner it would also be if they did it in an extremely cruel way) our kegemaran stuff, I am pretty sure most of us would be irate at that scenario.

I'm sure that everyone has their own reasons. Everyone thinks and reacts to things differently than the person standing seterusnya to them, so pinning down one specific reason as to why someone feels a certain way is difficult and seterusnya to impossible to do.

Though I think a majority of people feel offended because they hold the things they Cinta and enjoy most close to them, so much that it becomes part of who they are. My Cinta for Soul Eater is the perfect example of this.

The series is very dear to me, and it's helped to form who I am. Whenever someone puts down the series atau its characters, I get very angry because it's something very important and irreplaceable to me. It's like a dear friend atau family member is being torn from limb to limb before my eyes sejak someone who doesn't understand. I think it's the same for a lot of other people, too.

It's a bit silly, really, now that I think about it. But it's an emotion, and important to feel that way. It's a personal thing, and it's part of what makes us human.

Self Pride.

It seems like people get the most offended when it's something they are proud of.

They also take it like you're criticizing them, atau their likes. as in they aren't good enough and need to improve themselves.

At least this is what makes sense to me.
