They worship nature and don't harm anyone. I don't believe in their ways because I'm a Christian but that doesn't mean I'm not tolerant of others. It's sad to think that Wiccans were mistaken as witches in the old days and were killed because of it. The only religion I would call evil is Satanism because it is worshiping the Devil.

I don't see anything in the Wicca that can be considered 'evil'. It is a pretty generalized term. There is no reason for a religion to be considered evil unless it comes in conflict with another one. Of course there, one religion will consider the other as 'evil' or 'wrong' since there is a difference of doing as well as seeing things !!!!

I know a couple of people who practice it. They told me about the believe system. It doesn't sound so evil to me.

This question was inspired by a debate I had with this kid way back in high school. As mentioned above they worship nature and believe in being one with yourself. I'm a Christian and I don't see the harm in that. Tbh I considered practicing Wicca alongside Christianity at one point. In my eyes there's nothing wrong with being one with yourself, the elements, and Mother Nature.
I think that there are just a lot of misconceptions about Wicca; like people think it's about curses and evil hexes. The magic that they used is actually more about healing and banishing negative energies.

As a side note I'm friends with two satanists and they're two of the nicest people I've met. When people think of satanism a lot of people think of sacrifices and blood; most of them as I've come to learn are just more down with embracing shit like sex money and power. I myself don't really care for the religion but I don't think all of the practicers are evil.

Yep. I knew that about Satanism. It's pretty much embracing human nature as it is...
I'm mostly agnostic but I follow Wicca.

@zanhar1 But isn't it still worshiping the Devil, who is pure evil? I guess it's just hearing the word Satanism makes me think that for obvious reason. I've seen videos of former Satanists that say how it truly is pure evil and they managed to be saved by God and Jesus. But then again, all religious groups have toxic people. I mean, a lot of the people (probably all) that accused Wiccans of being evil witches were Christians and wanted them to be hanged, burned alive, drowned, and crushed to death. It's because of things like that and other judgemental things some Christians say that nowadays people look upon Christianity as a bad thing. Do you know how many anti-Christian things I see others post on Facebook or comment on Youtube? It's like being a Christian makes you a horrible person because of certain Christians that think they're superior to others and yet don't pay attention to two certain concepts from the bible, "Thou shalt not judge lest ye be judged" and to be tolerant of others. So anything you could clear up about Satanism for me would be appreciated. Embracing the harsh realities of life is one thing everyone has to do, but having a religion named after the embodiment of pure evil is another. I hope I'm not offending anyone because I promise this isn't my intention. If I have offended I do apologize!

^Satanism is actually not entirely devil-worshiping, as many think it is. It's more or less like atheism. You follow yourself instead a religion, mostly. You follow human nature instead of binding yourself to rules.
That's what I've heard from Satanists I've known, anyways.

But the Bible also tells us to love one another; I harbor no hatred or hard feelings towards Wiccans themselves. People are people.

One of my two friends did some research on it because she wanted to prank her family by claiming she was a satanist and then she realized she could get down with their ideals for real. She told me that what she found out about the religion is basically what Aqua said;
You follow yourself and embrace human nature. Deciding as the name is, from what I've heard the religion has little to do with actually worshiping the devil.

Again I don't agree with the religion but like ace, I harbor no hatred of the people themselves.
