Thanks to all of anda who are reading. This is the first part of Chapter 10. Scent in Eclipse. I wrote it in Jake's pov. TAHNKS AGAIN :)

Bella doubting my mad skills kind of stung. I took down Laurent with ease. I was just comming to sniff her house out. Geez.
I left the Rabbit at utama and decided to run. It was not only easier, but also faster. And I wanted to see Bella for as long as the leech would let me.
As I neared her house I could smell the overly sweet scent of Edward. Ugh. I scrunched my nose and listened.
"It's not that I feel any personal antagonism toward him, Bella, it's just easier for both of us. I won't be far away. You'll be safe."
You'll be safe. I mocked him in my head.
"I'm not worried about that." It was Bella talking this time.
I stood of the front porch and waited for Edward to leave.
"I'll be right back." He told her and laughed aloud. Good, so he heard me.
"What's so funny?" Bella asked him but there was no reply and I saw Edward run into the woods.
I heard her turn the dapur tap and I rang her doorbell. I could have just walked in, but she could have been showering in the sink for all I knew.
"Come in, Jake." She shouted.
I turned the handle and it was unlocked. Not the safest thing to do right now. I walked up behind her as she was putting a plate in the soapy water.
"Should anda really leave your door unlocked like that?" I asked.
She jumped half a foot in the air and soaked herself with dishwater. I composed my laughter and kept it at a inside minimum. "Oh, sorry."

She grabbed a towel off the counter and started whiping at her shirt.
"I'm not worried about anyone who would be deterred sejak a locked door."
"Good point." I agreed nodding.
She looked up from her baju and eyed me up and down swiftly. "Is it really so impossible to wear cloes,Jacob?" She asked. Jacob? What happened to the friendly Jake? "I mean, I know anda don't get cold anymore, but still."
My soaked hair was falling in my eyes, blocking my view. I ran my hand through it pushing it back. "It's just easier." I shrugged. Sort of.
"What's easier?"
I smiled. So smart, yet so off. "It's enough of a pain to carry the shorts abound with me, let alone a complete outfit. What do I look like a pack mule?" I snorted.
She frowned. Now what? "What are anda talking about, Jacob?"
Seriously? Was she stupid? "My clothed don't just pop in and out of existence when I change-I have to carry them with me while I run. Pardon me for keeping my burden light." Okay so maybe I didn't have to add the smart remark at the end. But she got the point.
She blushed feircly. "I guess I didn't think about that." She muttered.
I laughed and pointed to my foot. I had wrapped a peice of leather cord around my ankle a couple times. "That's lebih than just a fashion statement-it sucks to carry jeans in your mouth."
She didn't reply, but started at my bare chest.
"Does my being naked bother you?" I asked grinning.
She looked up at me quickly and rolled her eyes. "No." She answer simply.
She was blushing. Whether it was left from earlier I didn't know. I laughed and she turned to her cleaning.
"Well, I suppose I should get to work." I sighed. "I wouldn't want to give him and excuse to say I'm slacking on my side."
"Jacob, It's not your job-"
I raised my hand to cut her off. "I'm working on a volunteer basis here. Now, where is the intruder's scent the worst?"
"My bedroom, I think."
Her room? Okay, not it was on. "I'll be just a minute."
I ran up the stairs and opened her door. His scent it me like a tajuk wave, burning my nose. I walked around her room for a moment to make sure I got a good grip on the scent I didn't recoginze.
I stood still for a moment listened to Bella down stairs. I could hear her scrub the plate she was holding a little lebih than necessary. I chuckled and went back down.
"Whew!" I scared her again and she dropped the plate finally.
"Yeesh Jake, cut that out!" She spat.
"Sorry. Here-" I grabbed the towel and whiped up her new mess. "I'll make it up to you. anda wash, I'll rinse and dry."
"Fine." She handed me the plate. I don't know if she was aware of the small smile that painted her lips atau not. But I didn't care. She was still smiling.
