When I woke up, my parents were already at the house. Jacob was here, too, sleeping seterusnya to me. Everybody was out hunting besides us.
    “Renesmee, today we are going to visit grandpa,”
    I got excited. My human grandpa didn’t know about vampires. He didn’t know that I was half human-half vampire. He just knew we were all different. I wasn’t allowed to bite him even though he torched my throat. I was immediately grateful for hunting last night. I also couldn’t tunjuk him my thoughts through my palms. That was always hard for me.
    Whenever I touched someone, even if I didn’t intend it, they saw what was in my mind. So I was always careful not to touch my grandpa with my palms.
    “When?”
    “We are gonna hunt first, we just wanted to wait until anda woke up.”
    “What about Jacob?”
    “Jacob knows we are going to visit grandpa. He’ll come sejak when he wakes up.”
    “Okay,” I stood up. I wasn’t hungry yet, but I needed to take precautions if I was gonna see my human grandfather.
    We ran out the open glass door and into the trees. As we hunted, I focused lebih on not communicating with my palms. It was so hard.
    After we hunted, we ran straight to his house. When we arrived out of the trees, I could smell him and his new wife, Sue. I breathed in through my nose, trying to endure it.
    He met us halfway out.
    “Hey, Bells! Hi, Edward.” he smiled. “C’mere, Nessie!”
    I walked up the stairs and hugged him, not using my palms.
    “Hi, dad,” my mom berkata and hugged him after me.
    “Charlie,” my dad nodded.
    Sue came out then and berkata a quiet hello.
    “Hi, Sue,” my mom berkata and hugged her.
    “Come in, come in. Sue just cooked me breakfast,”
    I sighed. Human food. It didn’t smell good, but it made me hungry. Whenever I ate human food, it was gross. My mom shot me a look. I nodded and walked in.
    The human scent was stronger inside. My parents had no problem like I did. My mouth watered just breathing. My dad could see my thoughts so he moved over seterusnya to me just in case.
    Sue and my grandpa sat down and began eating.
    “Dad, if anda don’t mind, I’d like to visit my old room,” my mom walked slowly up the stairs trying not to freak out my grandpa.
    My dad and I sat in the chairs seterusnya to Sue. We both probably looked repulsed my human food.
    My grandfather knew we were different. He was used to us not eating, and our cold skin. Well, my parents cold skin. He was used to my burning skin. I’m not quite sure if he knows we aren’t human, but he does know we are like others.
    We never alih fast around him. I never tunjuk him my thoughts and my dad never jawapan his thought.
    My new grandma, Sue, knows what we are. She used to be married to Harry Clearwater and lived on the Reservation. She was Seth and Leah’s mom. So she knew about Serigala Jadian and vampires. But she never told my grandpa.
    “So, Nessie,” my grandpa began after swallowing. “How was your trip to visit Bella and Edward’s friend? What was her name?”
    “Zafrina,” I tried to lower my voice. Apparently to humans it was piercing. “It was good. It was fun. I haven’t seen her since I was a baby,”
    “That’s good.”
    My mom came from downstairs. “Wow, dad, my room didn’t change a bit,” she laughed.
    “Not yet, anyway. I really don’t know what we should use it for,”
    “Maybe a new mouth to feed,” she playfully nudged him as she sat down seterusnya to him.
    “No,” he looked at Sue. She smiled. “I think three’s enough,”
    “Why not make it a room for Seth and Leah?” My dad suggested.
    “Leah is out of the house now,” Sue said. “She’s taking yoga down in Hoquiam and Seth is almost never home. When he is, he just crashes on the couch,”
    “Maybe he’s never utama because he doesn’t have a room,” My mom laughed.
    “He’s old enough to live on his own,”
    “True.” My dad said. “Maybe anda could make it a spare room, in case they ever came back to visit. That way anda could just leave Bella’s old stuff in there and anda wouldn’t have to renovate,”
    “We could,” My grandpa mused. “I was thinking maybe a family room. anda know, for pictures and foto albums. Maybe a TV so we could watch old movies,”
    I nodded. “That’s sounds cool. I’d like to see what mom looked like as a h--child,”
    I almost berkata as a human, but that would freak him out.
    My mom smiled at me. “Nothing like I am now. I was clumsy and awkward. Dad, if anda Cinta me--burn them,” she laughed.
    “Now, now, Bella, no one else sees them but family,”    
    My dad sat up a little bit in his chair. I reached over and touched his arm. What? I thought.    
    “Listen,” he breathed so quietly Sue and grandpa would never hear.
    I sat up, too, and listened intently. I could hear the very faint sound of feet on the wet grass. Then someone clomping up the stairs and…
    Jacob came through the door.
    I stood up and smiled. “Jake, you’re here,”    
    My dad touched my arm, and I sat down.
    “Hey, Bells, hei Edward. Hi, Nessie. Hey, Charlie, Sue,” Jacob made his way around the meja, jadual and sat seterusnya to Bella.
    Charlie started laughing under his breath. My dad gritted his teeth.
    “What’s funny, Dad?” My mom asked.
    “I was just thinking about the rivalry between Edward and Jacob a few years back. I’m glad anda could get over it. Remember when anda broke your hand punching him, Bells?”
    My mom stiffened along with Jacob and my dad. “Yeah, I remember,”
    “Just because he kissed you,” Charlie shook his head.
    My breathing caught. I looked at Jacob and my mom, outraged.
    My dad touched my wrist, “Calm,” he breathe.
    Jacob and my mom kissed? What? Why? What did this mean? I glared at the meja, jadual and clenched my hands into fists.
    “So, anda guys kissed?” I asked trying to keep my voice normal.
    “Nessie, it was a really long time ago. I barely remember,” Jacob said.
    “Jacob and I were just kids. It didn’t mean anything,”
    I glared at the meja, jadual again.
    We are all going to talk about this later, I thought. My dad sighed.
    Through the rest of makan malam, majlis makan malam I couldn’t think about anything else. I’m sure my dad got sick of my thoughts. Just me picturing over and over again. Their lips touching. Who kissed who? Why did they kiss? What did it mean to each other them now? It made me doubt Jacob. He kissed my mom. He loved my mom. Before me. It made me soalan our love.
    After dinner, we all walked silently into the forest and away from Charlie and Sue.
    I stopped. “I wanna know everything between the three of you. Everything.” I almost growled.
    Jacob sighed. “Nessie, I loved your mom. I wanted her to me with me instead of your father. I kissed her because I wanted her to feel something for me. She didn’t. And, no, I didn’t give up--until anda were born. That was it. I felt nothing for Bella. She became my friend, how we should have been since the beginning,”
    I glowered. “So anda wanted my mom. anda do realize I wouldn’t be here if that would’ve happened?”
    “I never thought of that. When I was with your mom, I as never thinking ‘oh, wait, maybe she should be with Edward so I can imprint on their daughter.’ I loved your mom but it was never enough to imprint because it was just Bella. The girl that’s right for me has to have a little Edward in there, too,” he smiled at me then glance up at Edward.
    I tried to fight back my smile, but I couldn’t. I couldn’t stay mad at Jacob. My dad smiled back at Jacob and then moved over to my mom.
    “The only reason Jacob was in your mother’s life was because I left your mother,”
    My eyes widened.
    “I didn’t want your mom to be a vampire. I wanted her to have a normal human life. I thought if I left, she would alih on and could have a real life. But it didn’t turn out that way.
    “Your mom jumped off a cliff,”
    I gasped.
    “She could hear my voice when she was in danger. She did a lot of stupid things to hear my voice. Your aunt Alice saw her jump off the cliff. Alice cant see Serigala Jadian in her visions, so she could see Jacob saving your mom. Alice thought Bella had drowned.
    “Rosalie told me that. She told me Bella had committed suicide. The only thing I could thinks about, is that it was my fault and that Bella was gone from this Earth.
    “But, your mom wasn’t dead. She was with Alice. When Alice had the vision of my going to the Volturi--you remember the Volturi?”
    He took my shiver as a yes and kept going. “Bella and Alice rushed to Italy to save me and we made a promise that Bella would become a vampire. We all decided that after our wedding, I would change your mother.
    “Well, then anda came along, Nessie, and complicated things. Bella loved you. She berkata she would die for you. Even when anda got bigger and broke her bones, she loved you. She knew she could give birth to anda and live through it enough that I could change her.”
    “Bella also thought anda were gonna be a boy,” Jacob interrupted. “She was going to name anda Edward Jacob, until anda were born,”
    Everyone smiled at him.
    “Anyway,” my dad continued. “Bella gave birth to you. Rosalie took anda and your mom was…um, dead,” he choked out.
    I flinched. I killed my mother?
    “Jacob and I got her hati, tengah-tengah beating, and then I bit her.”
    My mom flinched.
    “So, I did that to my mom?” I asked.
    “Well, I was gong to need to become a vampire anyway,” she smiled.
