In the future, when interplanetary travel is commonplace and robots and humans are equal, NASA's brightest scientists come up with a plan: to build a ship, send it into the interstellar void, and bring live extraterrestrials to Earth.
The ship, christened Buggy, is lebih of a robotic probe than anything else. It carries a copy of the Plaque that Pioneer 10 carried.
When Buggy's signal seems to vanish, all hope is lost. Only when the signal returns does NASA find out what happened. Buggy fell into a wormhole and was dumped on an alien planet.
The inhabitants of that planet, who resemble dragons, are curious about the thing that arrives in their midst. They don't speak any human language, so the electronic message is unintelligible to them. But they understand the plaque.
Their leaders prepare an expidition to the place Erth, from whence thecraft came. Their arrival could be the end of Earth as we know it.
