Fight Your Destiny

Aria Glass stood in the small dapur watching everyone was they pondered the news they were just told. She wanted to sit down, but every time she did, an annoying discomfort washed over her forcing her to stand. Everyone was on edge, wanting to hear what Kal had to say. This was the first time he had ever come to see them and was alone, so this had to be important.
“The others are planning something.” Kal berkata his voice serious, and he was looking Aria, Jared and Toby in the eyes. “Something they don’t want me to know,”
“And why the hell not?” Jared said, his usual annoyed expression on his face, it seemed like it was permit when Healers came. Both Aria and Jared’s bother Toby wished he would easy up a little, especially on Kal; he had been the nicest to them since all this Healer crap happened.
“Because, they think I will try to stop them.” Then Kal moved his focus to Aria, “And they are right. I am your protector, and if there is anything that could parentally harm you; I will stop it.” Aria gave a weak smile to him. At least they had someone on their side.
“Well that’s good to know” Jared muttered relaxing back into his chair.
“What do we do? They won’t listen to Aria atau you, so what now?” Toby asked taking a long sip of his bir as he sat atop the dapur counter.
“We do the same to them” Aria berkata before Kal could speak, “We don’t listen to them, ignore their request, atau demands. If they are going to keep things from us, and plan things behind Kal’s back, then screw them. I will not be pushed around sejak a group of holy assholes.” Everyone agreed to this, even Kal. Just sejak the look on his face, the three of them could tell Kal was getting sick of his fellow Healers as much as they were.
“They are not going to like this,” Kal said, but there was a hint of a smile tugging at his lips, which he tried desperately to hide. “But” he continued after a moment, “They cannot harm you, atau Jared and Toby”
“Kal, just because they cannot, does not mean that won’t “ Toby berkata with a frown. But he was right, almost all the Healers they have met have been a royal pain in the ass, all had a temper. But Kal was nothing like them, he was so much different, he looked, acted and treated them differently, and the trio was not the only ones to notice either. That is not a good thing, Aria could tell the Healers hated it when things did not go there way, well here comes there biggest wakeup call. Things were about to change, and not for the best.
“So anda think your lame keldai Healers will do anything to you?” Jared asked, and for the first time being the first to make eye contact with Kal without being forced.
“I’m not sure, they all do have tempers, and we will have to see. But don’t worry about me; I can fight my own battles. anda three are far lebih important anyway.”
Aria did not sejak that crap; he was not going to be a martyr, not for them. But she let it go deciding it is best to bring it up if necessary. It just seemed like everyone was ready to jump into battle for her, but if she was the key to everything, then why can’t she fight her own battled? No matter what anyone says, they are not going to die fighting a battle that was meant for her while she sits in the sidelines.
To be honest Aria hated being the center of attention, and here she was in the middle of everything. For Christ sake, she just found out she was one of them, a Healer. Well she was only 50% Healer, but they still considered her one of them. Although they told her crap, she was still part of the bigger picture, and they needed her, she was the key to everything. She had powers, atau abilities that the others did not, her human half and Healer half mixed made one mean son of a bitch. But she did not care about power, she cared about her family, (Toby and Jared) and about trying to keep the world save from Demons. After all that is her job, atau was, now she had a lot lebih on her plate and such little room. There was barely enough angkasa to breath.
“Well that’s one lebih thing we have to worry about,” Again Jared muttered, but everyone ignored him.
“Kal, we need to know lebih information, like how to kill these things.”
“I’m sorry Toby; I am not allowed to discuss that information. I might be – indifferent about what the others may be doing, but I still have rules to cover, and I cannot break all of them for you.”
“So now anda are going to keep secrets from us?” Jared barked, standing up and walking with tense shoulder to the fridge for another beer. “Well” Jared continued waving his bir in the air, “’that’s just great!”
“Jared, anda have to understand, I have rules, restrictions! If I tell you, the moment I return to headquarters, they will demand my head on a stick. So sorry if I am a bit concerned with keeping myself alive so none of anda die!” There was rage, in Kal’s eyes, something they had never seen before. He clenched his hand into a fist and then released, a new form of determination in his eyes,
Jared made a face but kept his mouth shut for once, he always believed the Healers were in it for themselves, because most of them were, but not all. Kal was one of them, but Jared refused to believe that he was unlike the others. Both Toby and Aria believed it, they had hope, but that was something Jared was lacking. Something he Lost a long time ago, but it was strange, when Toby was on the edge of crazy, Jared did everything he could to help his brother, and that was menunjukkan him there was still hope left, and it worked.
But yet, Jared still remained stone cold.
Jason: blonde spiky hair, green eyes, wearing his kegemaran gitar baju for almost three days straight, and he’s a teenager, but a rather short one. He has orange braces that are spotted easily when he smiles. Jason has an arm that can oddly twist all the way around in a
perfect circle. One of the strangest things about him is a black thing in the shape of a flame on his left leg. People think it’s a poorly drawn drawing, but he was born with it, and as he got older it grew with him.

Jason was sitting sejak the fireplace watching the flames blow from side to side. His eyes liked to find themselves,...

It felt like I had been submerged under water. I was suffocating.
“How could anda leave her?” I managed to get the soalan out of my mouth.
“Genette didn’t tell me she was pregnant. I didn’t even know about Lucy until she was five. sejak then I figured it was too late,” Alexander berkata a look of pain was in his face.
“It’s never too late, Alexander,” I said, angered sejak the fact he would just give that magnificent child up.

"This is beautiful!" Aiko breathed. Elaine beamed and laughed, "I knew you'd Cinta it!" Elaine had called Aiko's apartment at five in the morning, telling her (well, lebih like yelling at her) to come to a spot in the park. In that spot was a bench facing a brilliant, crystal-clear waterfall that flowed around the bench like a sparkling moat. An authentic wooden bridge with white and blue Ros woven in the railings connected the park with the solitary bench.
"We're going to meet your brother in such a beautiful place?" Aiko gaped.
"Yeah!" Elaine exclaimed, flopping down on the bench and grinning...

“I can’t get anda out of my head either,” I said. Voices broke loose in my head, and I fought to push them all back.
“What are we going to do then?” he asked unaware of the chaos in my mind.
“What do anda mean?” I asked confused.
“We both have feelings for each other. We can’t just ignore it,” Alexander said.
“I know,” I wanted to ignore it no matter what he said. That would be rude though.

Inheritance

Part Two

Harper, March & Fields wasn’t a law firm I’d ever heard of until a few months lalu when I’d received a letter from them concerning my father’s will. It was strange that they’d waited until nine months after my 25th birthday to contact me — especially when the instructions had specifically stated alerting me on that day. Phyllis March wasn’t an entirely unpleasant woman to talk to, but she was fidgety and a little high strung. She...

“Damien, that was years ago,” berkata Alexander as his cheeks turned a light pink.
“I know, and I don’t understand why the memory is resurfacing now,” I berkata shaking my head slightly.
“Do anda think it’s because you’re with Grey lebih often?” Alexander asked. I’d rarely seen Grey while at the asylum. The only people I would talk to was Deborah, Dr. Anozi, Alexander, and a few college professors.
“I don’t know, maybe, but it’s scaring me,” I said. “I spent all last night at...

"IDIOT!" the King screeched. Toyo flinched as if the King had struck him.
"DO anda KNOW WHAT YOU'VE DONE?" he continued to yell angrily.
"The Vampire Society figured out that Aiko was at X Aacademy," Toyo berkata quietly. "So I sent her away."
"Without the protection of other vampires," the King hissed. "Suppose they find out where she is now. Who will protect her? She's as good as dead now!" The King sighed irritably and strode towards the door.
"Inform the Society that I will not be available for the seterusnya year," he berkata coldly. "And this time, don't mess it up." The King strode out of the...

I sat on a black, leather couch, starring at the deep blue walls. I was in Alexander’s office, for my appointment. I’d come here straight from the cathedral. My hair was tangled, and messy. I still wore plaid pajama bottoms, and an old, gray tee shirt.
I came to a realization last night. Today, I would make my move. I have done enough to hold my own. Now I could be happy…Maybe.
I debated whether, atau not I should tell Alexander about Lucy. Dr. Anozi would’ve liked the idea, but I’m not sure about Dr. Laveney.
    I also...

I ran my hand through my tired hair. I fell asleep on the attic floor last night, after my outburst. I was tired, and ached everywhere. What a night it had been.
I took my weight of the gurney I had been leaning on. I was at the hospital today, to help calm this schizophrenic man. I arrived here at seven this morning, and had to leave before noon. I couldn’t miss Lucy’s appointment at Social Services.
It was eight-thirty now, and I was getting ready to meet my patient. He was in the emergency room, with the doctor. He’d had a nervous breakdown,...

Chapter 17

“Who killed them?!” Koda growled.
Iah was trying to keep Koda calm; from his few encounters with this one he knew anger was Koda’s worst enemy.
“I am not sure…” he replied softly.
“How can anda not know!?” he screamed, charging after Iah. He dug his fingers into Iah’s chest as they turned to claws, slamming him to the ground, his dark red eyes bored into Iah’s sending dark chills through his mind. “You know everything else but anda don’t know who killed them?”
Iah cringed in pain, trying to speak.
“I do not know but…I have a feeling who may have done…it”...

I had my first client today. I was to go to a middle school, and talk with an obsessive-compulsive child. Her name was Lucy Taylor. She was starting to be teased sejak other students. It was not right; it’s not as if she could help it.
I walked into the main entrance of the school. The halls were the color of dirt, the lockers a mucus green. I saw kids with name brand clothing going down the halls. As I walked toward the big sign that berkata Guidance Counselor on the front, I saw a group of kids. They were all against the left side of the hall. They were all dressed in...

Today was my first hari working for the mental institution. I woke around ten, and got a shower. I dressed in my black pants, shoes, and shirt. Over the baju was my white doctor’s jacket. The color white didn’t’ suite me, but it’s not like I hade a choice in wearing it.
I walked to work. The asylum was only three blocks away. As I walked I worried over people criticizing me. Or, making fun of me. What if I treated the wrong patient? What if I messed something up? What if I got lost?
My stomach started to tighten as I thought of the day...

When I woke up, all the windows were covered in snow, surrounding me, isolating me from others. My stomach growled, but I didn't want to leave. I feared if I didn't get a job, I'd lose everything. I got out of the car, still wearing my clothes from yesterday, which was nothing but jeans, converse, and a black penyu neck. Not wanting to waste valuable gas, I walked around town. My stomach growled again, and the thing inside me kicked a series of blows for a couple seconds.

The buildings here were tall, and far away I could see the new, fancy skyscrapers. But here, the buildings were old and...

I stroll down Western Avenue with a blue coin dompet, beg tangan in my fragile hands. People in every direction as far as the eye can see. Neighbors being neighborly, store keepers selling and people riding the subway to work. Today happens to be a Saturday morning. And as usual, I awaken in the morning at six o'clock and dress. Every Saturday morning is the same old thing. I turn to the corner seeing the store I've been looking for. Roosevelt Island Shop. Yes. Indeed I live on the island of Roosevelt Island. It's very exhilirating to walk in the streets of our state of New York. As I enter the small shop,...

A little while after the holidays, Alice left for California. It wasn't long before I felt the despair of loneliness. Alice was the only one I've really talked to for months. Once she was gone, for the first time in a long time it felt like I had really run away. Not like I had gone to a selamat, peti deposit keselamatan haven, but like I really was in an unfamiliar town.

I went to work , and Alice had only been gone for two days. Work just wasn't fun that day. I found it harder to be nice to rude customers, and the hari seemed endless.

"Yeah, Alice kind of brings light to this place, huh?" Georgie, the cook asked. I nodded...

About three months have passed, and text messages and calls have stopped. It made me feel sad, but at least I knew they had moved on. At least they weren't devoting their lives to worrying about me.

Then one hari before work, I had drove to the edge of town to the grocery store. I had paid for all my things, I was leaving when I noticed a bulletin board. It was the ones where missing people were posted. One in particular caught my attention. It was a picture of me from a party, I was all smiles and waving at the camera. Missing: Kodi Hunter.     I stood from the brown couch, rubbing my eyes. I had slept on the couch. Grey was mad, and I had been stressed. It was a fight waiting to happen.
Grey had already left for her job at the pharmacy. She was a secretary. Today, I was going to get my license, to practice psychology.
I stood from the couch, I was dressed in last night’s clothes. I’d been at the bar, doing tequila shots. I was trying to numb my mind from pop-up questions.

Chapter 13

The hallways of the hospital were dead silent except for the beeping noises of the hati, tengah-tengah monitors from the patient rooms and Rawak coughing. Jax slowly and silently stepped passed each door not wanting to spook anyone and draw attention to him. So far it was working.
Finally, he reached an elevator and pressed the down button, hoping that no one was on the other side of the door.
The door binged loudly as it reached his floor and Jax held his breath waiting to see a doctor atau security on the other side. It opened and he let out a huge sigh to an empty elevator.
He stepped inside and...

Chapter 12

The late afternoon sun shined on Koda’s back as he headed further west. Soon the sun would be shining in front of him, slowly drifting its way down the western horizon. Night would follow…

The hospital grew quiet as the hours went by. Jax’s pain had subsided but his anger and vengeance did not. With each passing minit he grew lebih restless and ready to leave his hospital bed.
He gently took the oxygen tubes out of his nose then gritted his teeth as he pulled the IV out his hand. Slowly, he moved his feet towards the edge of the katil but quickly pushed them back as he saw a nurse...
