In New Moon, when Bella realised Victoria was after her, why did she not try to contact the Cullens?

I know the book never specified whether she still had their numbers atau e-mel addresses, but she never even expressed any sentiment that acknowledged Edward was responsible for the situation she was in. If their relationship had been truly equal, she should have berkata that this was his fault and if she could get in touch with him, he had a responsibility to come back and protect her. What would have happened if the Serigala Jadian hadn't existed? When Edward came back to check on Bella he would have found her dead body buried in the woods and would have gone to Italy actually being responsible for her death! What do other people think?
