Fanpop is brilliant and everything but does anyone know of any other really great Debat places on the net?

First one needs to specify whether actual Debat (with theses, arguments, counter-arguments, etc) is desired, atau just interesting discussion.

Most actual Debat is done within the academy. Therefore, some interesting sites for Debat are:

* pfdebate.com

In general, if anda want debate, anda want to stay away from any site that uses the terms "debate" and "discussion" in the same sentence.

For discussions, anda would do well to try:

* arguewitheveryone.com - politics
* puretalkforum - anything controversial
* ukdebate.co.uk/forums (sic) - primarily politics

OK, in order to make this an actual ANSWER rather than just a comment, I'll tell anda a story. I cultivated my mad skills over at Ye Olde Muggle Informer, a website I frequented as a preteen-teen. They had a thread for politics and current events. It was the great folks over at the link who taught me what courtesy was in controversial conversations.

However, that place is lebih atau less dead now. It's hard for a Harry Potter peminat site to stay active as long as that one has (nearly ten years, it would be now). So...

Fanpop is the best Debat website ever known. The other Debat websites aren't really that good.
